**Coco Handle** Club

Hi guys - I’ve been in search for red Coco Handle for awhile. I finally found one on Fashionphile for over retail (I never really pay over retail bc I’d rather get it from the store at that point). However, with the potential price increase, the price would probably end up being the same plus this one is listed as new condition (28 series) and having the lizard handle, which they no longer make. If anyone could actually verify that this is the lizard handle, not the lizard embossed handle, that would be great! Anywho, just wanted to get your opinion...it’s in the size small (not mini) and I’m 5’2”. Thank you!!

this one is embossed and not real lizard. You can tell because the description says the interior is cloth. The lizard handled CH’s had leather lining.

If you find a real lizard handled bag that you’re happy with, I’ve had no issues with pealing. It still looks like the day I got it.

Edit: I just called them and they’re standing by that it is real lizard handle. Any place you can recommend that I could look into to verify this?

i hope you got the coco handle you wanted. It is a lovely bag and I think it would make a statement on you. I just paid over retail on fashionphile for a very similar bag — it is a dark pink coco handle with caviar handle. Also from 2019, in excellent condition. It is just the color I was looking for. Enjoy!

It's fashionphile and they supposedly have a great return policy. Would you be interested in getting it and seeing for yourself.

On a side note, I don't always trust fashionphile's description of some of the items.

I know your other concern was paying over retail...if you really love it then it could be worth paying over retail. I personally wouldn't pay over retail for it but that's just a personal thing for me.

It seems that’s the consensus here..that the ones with the lizard handles came with the leather lining. Unless someone wants to say otherwise? I’m not familiar with it so just starting to do the research now. They do have a great return policy but didn’t expect that to be described incorrectly. Unfortunately. I guess we’ll see. I just hate paying over retail but it really is the color that I’ve been wanting...

I just recently became a fan of the Coco handle bag, and am thinking of getting one. Can anyone tell me if the Coco Handle Mini in black chevron caviar with ruthenium hardware is as hard to find as the Mini flap? Or will I have better luck finding it?

I don't think I have seen a CCH with ruthenium HW... Do you mean the black HW like the one on so black bags?

Hmm, the hardware that i saw seems lighter than on the so black bag. I saw some videos on youtube of a girl who has it with the ruthenium hw, don't know if it was limited edition.

19k had a black Chevron with silver. Other than that, the first launches of the CCH had ruthenium hardware but from what I remember they were all quilted, not Chevron. In general it will be easier to find the CCH with champaign or aged gold hardware as most iterations were produced in either of the two.

One thing that surprises me is the lining is leather. I thought that the leather lining only comes with the exotic handle, not the black or the embossed one.

Yes, leather lining only comes with the exotic handles. The embossed calf handles are lined in fabric.

I thought the same. For mine the SA said it’s an embossed handle but why the lining is leather I’m very confused.

I think you have the exotic handle. Most exotic handles are a contrast color like yours. That would be my guess. All leather comes with fabric lining. One thing you can do is look at your tag and go to the Chanel website to see if your bag. The codes on the tag will say if it's leather or an exotic. If you can't find that, then you can call your Chanel customer service. Sometimes SAs don't know much, they just give you an answer, but if you want to know for sure (I would), I would check. Maybe this is something new.

I honestly believe you have an exotic handle though. The price is also higher for an exotic, so you can call the boutique an inquire what is the price for the all leather vs. the exotic of the same size.
