I am 5’7, I think the minis are more convenient wearing single strap, but looks really miniature on my arm.

For darker/neutral color I could go either size, for bright color I would definitely go mini.

I mostly use mini cf when I go out now so there is also that comfort/familiarity factor I have with smaller handbags.

I have some comparison photos when I was going through a similar dilemma - hope it helps!

Hello!

This is great thread and was wondering if you can help me!

I am considering getting the mini coco handle in chevron in a true red colour end of the month! I always wanted a red bag and didn’t want a big one. For reference I’m 5,4 and curvy, love practical bags and already own a classic flap in black, a fushia pink in a season bag and a wallet on chain in black. My dilemma is whether anyone regretted getting the coco handle as I saw reviews that mentioned potential issues opening and closing the bag, and no being able to wear cross body etc.

Did you regret the chevron style?

My alternative would be a city walk bag in red.

I’ll attached pictures of both for reference (city walk bag will be in red too even though picture is in grey).

Please please help as I tried asking about this in a new thread and no one responded :(

Hi! These are definitely different style bags and it's hard to compare since it's not apples to apples. I think it'll really come down to how you want to use this bag.
Red in both cases will be a nice pop of color, but if not being able to wear it crossbody is a deal breaker, then the mini coco would probably be out of question (ppl DO wear it crossbody but it sits quite high and may not be comfortable)

If you want variety in style of bags you have, coco would be nice because I think the look of the city walk is pretty similar to a classic flap. Might be helpful to go through reviews of the city walk too: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/new-style-flap-bag.1025466/

I love my mini CCH. I haven't seen the city walk bag in person but I do really like the style. I would love to be able to pick this up but I'm on a ban island...so whomp whomp!

I actually just purchased two cch mini at the same time. I got the 20A Chevron beige because I just love the color and the edge piping. I also don't have a Chevron pattern in my collection yet. Then my SA came through with my unicorn bag: a blue quilted mini CCH with dark burgundy handle.
I absolutely has no regret purchasing the Chevron. I love it so much. I think love it more than the blue (just a tiny tiny bit tho) because I'm always into light color bag but I always wear dark jean and that's just a disaster waiting to happen.
I'm 5'6" 165lbs and I cannot wear the coco mini cross body due to the chain is too short. It technically do able but it's super tight on and very uncomfortable. Look really awkward. My gf is smaller than me (petite and 115lbs) and she can crossbody it just fine.
When I wear it on the crook of my arm or shoulder I have no problem getting in and out of the bag or having any issues with the handle hitting me. I think both are great choice.
P.s. there is rumor that cch is getting a price increase soon so if you're absolutely set on adding one to your collection I would do it now.

The number one culprit of color transfer, from what I have read, is dark denim. Unfortunately for me, I wear a LOT of dark denim. Most of my jeans are a medium blue wash, and I also have a pair of black jeans I love. So I am doing my best to keep away from those when I decide to take this bag out.

So my advice is to take all reasonable precaution, but DO enjoy your bag without too much worry.

Can you share more info on how you use the Colloni? Do you treat the bag everytime you go out? I don't treat my bags with anything but now that I have a light color bag and I am terrified of color transfer!! TIA!!
