one of the things that is interesting about this thread, is that the swagger is being mentioned a lot as part of the new concept. I don't personally see the swagger is all that different from many of the various styles we have seen over the last many years. I think it is a cute bag, but it doesn't speak as something that coach wouldn't have created before--it isn't really a departure.

Maybe that is just me, but it was just something that has been coming to mind. Again, i am not saying i don't like the bag or do not appreciate the enthusiasm, as that is a good thing for coach to have.

+1

Agree. It looks like a cross between the Riley and the Legacy Candace to me. Not to mention the similarities to some of their previous carryalls.

It's one of the most basic styles--you can look at KS, MK and other bags (including Coach bags in the past) in the space and find many bags with many similarities.

None of that should take away from what people like about the bag, just sayin'. :p

I agree with you 100%. The reasons you stated are exactly why I want the Swagger. :D

I finally had a chance to stop by Coach yesterday for a few minutes, and the black on black Swagger is definitely in my future! That is a gorgeous bag.

The other one that I was quite taken with (that I hadn't even noticed when I looked online) was the prairie satchel in whiplash leather, in light gold/apricot. The apricot is so beautiful with the gold hardware, and the leather is gorgeous. They had the "ears" pulled down with the straps on the sides, so it looked more like a satchel and less like a tote irl. Online I think it looks more like the regular kelsey/prairie satchel/tatum tote profile (wider at the top than at the bottom), but with the ears pulled down it accentuates the boxy/satchel look. Very pretty!

The apricot is TDF!!!!

I'm thinking of getting a swagger when there is a FF somewhere. I also think that while it's gorgeous, it's not all that different from my other satchel/ long strap combos. My boroughs perfectly fits that category for me. :smile1:

You are right in that it's very similar to the Legacy bags of the past; however for me what is different is the workmanship - it's definitely a cut above from what I've seen and owned from Coach. I am going to pick up the Tan/Chalk/Black colorblock in medium. The way I look at it is that doing something severely different isn't really what they have to do - just make products that worked of better quality and a lot of us will be happy.

I agree. I also bought the swagger due to what I felt was an upgrade in quality.
