I purposely never take my Coach bags when I shop in the Coach outlet so they don't even have to be concerned that I am shoplifting it. I did one time and the SA tried to ring up my own Coach bag that I bought several months earlier. lol
I think Michael by Michael Kors is the least expensive line he makes, just like all the other designers who make purses......there are always the most expensive, and least expensive! We all have to buy based on what we LIKE, not based on the cost of the purse. There is a thread roaming around here titled "purse or jewelry" or something like that! I would say jewelry over a purse any day of the week!!!!! I LOVE my purses, but there is NOTHING like a GREAT piece of jewelry.....especially if it has diamonds in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
Now I'm even more confused. I thought the linings on the retail bags were all a light creamy color with the MK in the circle, and I thought all MFF bags had a black lining.
But in the pics posted above the boutique bag has a dark lining with the circle logo and the MFF bag has a light lining without the circle logo.
So I think the only thing we are certain of at this point is that the boutique bags have the MK circle logo and the MFF bags do not - but the lining color doesn't seem to indicate whether it's MFF or boutique.
Clear as mud?![]()
I was in Nordstrom this weekend, and compared the regular MICHAEL line to mine from the outlet. The difference is exactly as you describe, Aunt Flo. But I still love my bag (except that I have no dustbag )
i've seen two different linings at dept stores, the MK in a circle, and the Michael Kors written. I'm pretty sure.
I only like the Michael Kors Collection bags, which have suede lining. I was disappointed when he knocked off his own line and made ID chain part of the Michael line. I have a Collection bag in ID chain and it is amazing, so sad it is not being made as a Collection piece anymore. I can't get into the Michael stuff because I don't like the cheap nylon MK lining. But the overall leathers in the lower end stuff is pretty nice. If you go to a boutique and can view the few Collection pieces left, those leathers are amazing.
Marshalls has some MK? Crissy, have you looked at winners for MK? That's Marshalls in Canada... same company.
No, I'm not much of a Winners fan - the place always looks like a bomb went off in there and I have no patience for sifting through it all. I saw some Coach stuff there once that was so ugly I thought for sure they must be fakes. Ended up being MFF stuff but the most hideous stuff ever. I'm not anti-MFF at all, but I am anti-ugly, and this stuff was hideous. So I would't hold out much luck of finding any good MK there. I'd rather shop in the beautiful stores anyway.
