That shape of bag is very difficult to get perfect. You'll have to experiment. Resist the temptation to overstuff. I use thin rolled towels. You might be successful if you can suspend it while it is drying, so the weight of the bag will pull the sides straight. If the bag is stretched out, it probably won't shrink back.
I am just curious, but hey does you want to over stuff your bag? (That came out wrong, I guess fill it up is a better word) Especially if it is with something soft... I'm just curious, will it harm the bag?

I am potentially buying a Lula's Legacy bag, owner claimed never used. Initial pics are pristine. Reputable seller. Owner tried to moisturize it with Coach moisturizer and two spots showed up on the leather. Both are little brownish black spots. Visible in pictures, about a quarter to a half inch maybe. Leather is British Tan. Spots faded after a day but still there. Has anyone had this problem with British Tan leather, will the spots continue to fade, can anything be done? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

I've had spots show up after conditioning; the color of the leather doesn't make a difference. I don't think the brand of conditioner makes much of a difference either. The spots fade after time, but I don't know if they will go away completely.

When I first started rehabbing, I think I overstuffed my bags in an effort to get rid of all the wrinkles. There are still some bags I can't figure out the best way to restore their shape. Currently I'm having problems with a convertible clutch that is wrinkled at the bottom of the back. If you overstuff your bags in using them, you could stretch them out and I think that would most likely be permanent. I have one bag from the 70s that is pristine on one side and the other side looks totally stretched out.

Quick, I'm about to do the rehab. Woolite extra delicates or ivory classic scent? Is Woolite too weak? Or dawn

If this were my bag, I would give it a bath. As someone previously mentioned, there is no perfect technique, and there are no guarantees of how it will come out. If you are a novice at rehabbing and are concerned, practice on some other bags first. I've tried various soaps, and I prefer to use Woolite for my rehabs. There are lots of choices to try to get the marks off, but there is no guarantee they will get better.

A bath is not really going to shrink the leather, but you can reshape it back to its original shape as it dries. After the bath, stuff the bag with towels and reshape it. Stuffing a bag is not as easy as it sounds. When I first started, I was overstuffing my bags. I'm now much more careful about not overstuffing. I also roll towels into logs. I tend to like using thin towels as well.

Finally got around to finishing some rehabs. Here's my mahogany Twin Clutch. I forgot to take photos of before except for here http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-clubhouse/coach-rehab-and-rescue-club-833400-47.html

One side has a scratch and a couple pin holes (that the seller 'didn't notice' these defects but he did give me a partial refund, note warning about this seller - azuremerekat - in previous posts http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-818914-505.html#post25653611)

I'm going to try to get some leather filler for the holes. There is some slight wrinkling on the flap without the holes that didn't smooth out, but generally I think she came up OK. I can never save more than one pic per post so will have to do it in two.
