Well. The alcohol seems to have faded it a bit, but left the suede feeling different and darker, even after brushing, I haven't tried dunking it or acetone. The eraser helped a bit, too.

Someone rehabbed the bag that matches this recently. I think you can't scrub the metallic without removing the finish. The suede can put up with the most scrubbing. You don't put conditioner on suede. You brush it when it is nearly dry.
Thank you for reminding me not to put conditioner on suede. I forgot about that! I learn so much each day.:smile1:

Here are my latest two rehabs. The red one is a pocket bag and the gray is a large saddle pouch. The pocket bag is like a slightly larger version of a Rambler's Legacy. Both bags are about the same size. The saddle pouch is a little taller and the pocket bag is a little deeper. The saddle pouch is a gorgeous gray. It had a little divot on the front that I filled with leather cement and paint. I'm very happy of how well it came out. I can't even find the original spot.
Wow, Wow and Wow!!!

Wow! that's one well used purse!

Suede is not easy to clean. It really depends on what is on the purse though. I think JOODLZ has had the best results. You could try her approach which is bicarb and vinegar. I've had some success with that. It has at least lightened marks.

Tackle the ink on the tassle before you do anything. You could try Amodex if you've got some or just alcohol. I've tried Amodex a few times now with mixed results. I've found that sometimes alcohol won't remove ink, then I've applied Amodex which also hasn't done much, and then when I use alcohol again it shifts it.
Aww, i had dunk, wash and scrubbed my bag before your posting about the ink stain. The ink stain did not come out with regular dish soap. I don't have any alcohol so can i use nail polish remover? Where can i buy bicarb? Thank you for your tips.

You're making progress! You might have to wash it to remove the alcohol or whatever else you use. I don't mean that you have to dunk. Just wipe it off with another mild cleaner or soap and water.

ImageUploadedByPurseForum1425589566.998407.jpg I hope someone can help me get the odor out of this Coach wallet. Lost my dispute (and $55) with the seller and Ebay because they don't seem to consider a horrible smell as a valid reason to request a refund.

It smells like stale beer to me but obviously I can't be sure what it actually is. The wallet looks fantastic so I can't understand where the smell is coming from. Could it be a fake? I can send more details and pictures if necessary.

Thanks in advance.

There are many suggestions in this thread. If you don't want to get it wet, I've had very good results with sealing an item in a plastic bag with bath salts. You can do the same thing with baking soda or aquarium charcoal.

You can put it outside to air out.

You can wipe it down with alcohol or vanilla vodka.

Last resort is to give it a bath.

In addition to whateve's suggestions you can spray with Febreeze or similar. Of course that will get it wet and you may have to wash it afterwards if it leaves water marks.
