Thanks. It is awesome. Unfortunately Coach is not widely known here and Ozzies are tight when it comes to buying second hand stuff. Some if the offers I've had for my bags makes me want to reply with "go shop at Target". It might take a while but someone will grab it eventually.

Thanks. I'm really pleased considering it's a made in China and non-vintage!

Thanks bigal. They need to make a size in between. Here's a pic to get an idea of scale. You could fit at least 4 bottles of wine in there! After dunking her I stuffed her with 3 bath towels!
That is giant! I'm glad I didn't take a chance on one. The small is an okay size for me. The large flap is perfect!

The leather on these is wonderful. The 2006 Legacy is amazing as well but the hardware makes it heavy.

I think that everyone gets those ridiculous offers, even here where Coach has a reputation. Ebayers are usually bargain hunters. Do you list on Ebay.com and ship internationally?

I list on ebay.com.au and offer international shipping, but shipping from here is expensive so I'm really dependent on the Oz market which is small, our population is only 22m. I just have to leave things listed for a long time and wait for the right buyer.

i had a gorgeous coach --enormous duffle...it was too big for me. gave it to my niece, who schlepps it everywhere...around the world with her by now. still going strong.

wanted to add that i'm really impressed with tarrago dye. good stuff!

posted an authenticity request on the other thread. if its ok, its a great looking lunch tote, #4068. really pretty green. alas, no zipper, so its not for me..

Finished a few more. Forgot to take before photos though. They were in good condition to start and just needed dunking, re-shaping and conditioning.
First up, made in NYC mahogany Blazer Bag #9830. I did need to re-stitch a small section of the zipper.

Navy blue Saddle Bag #9851

Gorgeous leather on this 1998 made in Turkey chocolate brown Willis #9927. Even DH was impressed and said I should keep it!

I really like navy blue Megan #9921 from early 1990's. The front is a bit faded but it's less noticeable after dunking and conditioning. I will keep this one because it's so cute and I haven't seen many.

Well done...X 4!!! I'd keep the Willis too :) Your Megan has a cousin in my collection in black. I bought it years ago at GW for $5.99...didn't even know it was Coach til several years later. She's a favorite holiday dress-up bag!

My rehab pile has grown exponentially, but I just haven't found the time nor interest to work on them...after the Holidays I'll get on it again :)

Wishing all my rehabbing friends the Best & Brightest Holidays possible!

Thanks Joodlz. The Willis is tempting, but I know I'd never use him. The Megan came with him as a lot so I see her as a bonus and she doesn't take up as much space!

I've missed your posts, Joodlz. Hope you get your rehabbing groove back on soon. Best wishes for the holiday season.

LOL I love to eat boneless skinless sardines. I do know it is a smell most people can't abide by. It is powerfully strong and definitely an acquired taste.

I have not experienced Leather Honey streaking but that sounds terrible. I will keep it in mind when choosing a conditioner to use, maybe only black bags. I did have an experience where it very slightly darkened a light tan bag but at least it was even and I haven't buffed it yet.
I haven't been using it very long.

I did manage to wrangle my DH's leather briefcase from him to condition it and I accidentally grabbed the Leather Honey cleaner you have to add water to. I rubbed the entire thing (sparingly at least) with it undiluted thinking it was conditioner. I like to watch TCM while I condition so never even looked at the bottle.
Later I realized my mistake when I felt my hands becoming dryer as opposed to feeling moisturized. I will never forgive myself because the bag will probably never be the same again.
BUT, the good thing to come of it is I emailed Leather Honey and they responded immediately with suggestions. They are really nice and very helpful. Email them and let them know, maybe it is something that they are aware of and know what to do about it. Maybe your batch is bad or has separated.
At their suggestion I had to wipe it down repeatedly with water which slightly wrinkled the flap and left a handful of small dark spots. Keep conditioning until it won't absorb anymore.
He hasn't been able to use it for 2 months now because I keep applying conditioner and hoping it will return to its former glory (although he's always been pretty rough on it). It is usable for sure but doesn't look as nice. Hard lesson learned.

FrenchieRU, my folks always have Nature's Miracle (they have a farm and a menagerie of animals) so maybe over the holidays I can hose the passenger side with it. Whatever I do won't be long lasting since the dog rides almost daily. I think it might be my dad's way of keeping the ladies out of his junker truck.

I wasn't thinking of using perfume to eradicate the musty smell, just saying I think perfume is difficult to remove since it is oily. I agree with you, it would just be adding to the stinky!

Hope everyone has a great day.
I guess people who hate the smell of sardines would HATE the smell of kippers. I could only eat them if my husband was gone for a week and I ate them the first day, because it would take that long to clear the house out of the smell. MMMMmm. stinky but soooo good.

Added leather honey to the bottom corners of my bag and it turned it black on contact. I started freaking out and told myself it makes bags dark. Woke up this morning and it's almost uniform magenta again but OMG!! BLACK??'!!!!!
I only applied with a paintbrush, very light layer as I do on my other bags..

Here's is a very simple little bag I picked up today. Hyacinth said it is a Chelsea Hippie Zip. I love the simplicity. Unfortunately, black is so hard to photograph. It's so pretty in person.

Do any of you have one of these?

Hi!
I'm new to this site and to the refurb process. I have 3 "vintage" bags I'd like to restore--each in need of unique tlc. I love reading the threads here, but was wondering if someone could help me with a link to a supplies and "how to" thread? My bags are all early 1990s or earlier.

Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome. I summarised my process here at thread #5205

http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-clubhouse/coach-rehab-and-rescue-club-833400-347.html

Since then I have started using Obenauf's on really dry and/or stiff bags. One or two coats after Leather Therapy and before Black Rock with lots of buffing in between with a microfibre cloth.

Please post pics if you have a specific issue you'd like suggestions for.
