Could decide if I wanted to add it so I did! Thanks for your help!
I've never been able to get rid of dents. There is a leather filler that might work. I've never tried. There are many better conditioners than Coach. Why don't you get Leather CPR? Blackrocks is a must too IMO. For super dry leather, I like Leather Honey.

Absolutely, positively YES to Blackrocks (IMO)! It just makes leather glow. Follow the label directions...apply lightly. I usually buff with a horsehair blend brush or microfiber cloth. Amazing results, especially on black leather...Good Luck!

Thanks! I'm going to order some too. I also need to get a suede eraser and brush so hopefully I can find somewhere to order them together.

With Christmas approaching I like wearing my red bags! I bought this 1995 Janice's Legacy bag #9950 back in 2006. She was in great condition when I got her, just a little flattened from storage. Warm sudsy soak and scrub, rinse and stuff, Leather CPR 2X and Blackrocks. After being brushed to a nice glow, she's ready for Holiday parties!

I thought this cute little Hampton Small Zipper Pouch was probably fake when I saw it at Goodwill. Found one like it on ebay the next morning and was waiting when the doors opened a short while later! She was really dirty, but I took a chance for $4.99! Before pics are here: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-818914-545.html#post25762629

Extra warm water, Dawn, Soilove and Mean Green did the trick! The edges near the zipper were very soiled and needed repeated scrubbing with a toothbrush. I also used a white eraser on those edges as well...they’re much improved.

Beautiful! My very first Coach was a Janice's legacy bag so this bag has warm memories for me. I have a question for you and the other Rehab/Rescue readers. I recently bought a 1990 Legacy Zip from eB*y in a color that is dark brown...something darker than British Tan but I don't know the name. It appeared virtually unused. I've greatly enjoyed using it for the last couple of days - I feel like I have a "pocketbook" like in the old days. However, in just two days, it has developed slightly faded areas on the corners! It did fall off my shoulder twice at work and has brushed up against the garage when I get in and out of my car. Is that kind of quick wear and tear normal for brown bags?

What kind of metal cleaner is best? Metal cleaner is different that brass cleaner? I'm so glad it will work! Will you still see the imprint? Will you have to put a sealant on it? If you used brass cleaner, it would take the sealant off? Sorry I am asking all these questions! I have never done this before! Thank you!!

I'm hoping someone else will chime in on this. I'm not really very picky about brass, i give it a quick once over and don't worry too much about it again. I know I use some sort of cleaner my husband has in the garage (maybe Brasso?) but if we didn't already have it I'd probably use toothpaste. :) I know others have tried different brands and maybe they can suggest a favorite.

Yay! She came out nice. My daughter had gotten hers very dirty since she uses it as a makeup bag. These things can take a lot of scrubbing! I didn't get it perfect but it looked pretty good.

Thanks...I love my Janice too...she holds everything I need without looking big!

I have several "brown" bags...maybe tabac, maybe mahogany. Some seem more sensitive than others. Have you rehabbed yours? I'd guess the leather is a little dry. Maybe try a conditioner like Leather CPR (or others).

I'm a big fan of Tarni-Shield. Unlike Brasso, there's not much odor and it works fast! I use it during the bath, to make sure I get it all off the leather. I got it from my MIL's cleaning closet when we downsized her...I've never looked for it in a store or online, but it's probably out there somewhere.

Thanks. Yeah, this is one tough little bag...I scrubbed until I just couldn't scrub any more. Mine's not perfect either, but certainly tolerable :)

Hi if you look back a few pages all I want is to clean up some spots on one side of my willis bag! She suggested a metal paste or something I'm not sure! I'm afraid Brasso is to harsh and I just want it back to the color! It is only on one side which bugs me!:) I was not thinking of giving her a bath... here is a pic.. It is on the ring and strap clasp.. What do you think?! Any info would help from anyone! I want to restore her to her original beauty

I don't think Brasso is too harsh. If you are worried, you can try vinegar but you'll probably have to scrub it quite a bit.

Has anyone rehabbed a Coach with textured leather trim like this Peyton? The lining needs some attention and I'd really like to freshen up the whole bag...I'm worried about the trim if I dunk. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks in advance!

Ok, you know me but I think that trim would hold up to some gentle washing.

LOL! Yay, I hoped you would answer this one...I'm just being a little chicken about this one...don't know why. The straps have the shiny leather worn down a bit and need edge coat, but the rest of the trim is good. In the sink she goes....Thanks!

I'm the dunking enabler. I wouldn't scrub it and neither would you, but coach really seems to make their stuff so durable. I threw one of the little legacy stripe satin top handle pouches with good trim in the washer because it had a little make up on it and the gold wasn't affected at all. The little thing looks like new.

Can't wait to see how it turns out.
