This is my first time using Lincoln. I have mixed feelings about this. The bottle comes full so you can't shake it up to get enough foam. I ended up pouring some into a foaming dispenser and using that. Directions just says to use foam and brush the stain with the foam. In my opinion it just spreads the dirt around. As you can see with the dirty paper towels I didn't want to do that so I wanted to remove as much cleaner off the suede to lift the dirt out. I pressed firmly and absorbed as much as I could. Also, it's darn near impossible not to saturate the leather with the cleaner. One upper corner left a stain as it dried. After the whole bag dried and I brushed all the suede. All the leather parts were cleaned and conditioned with Leather CPR.

I'm going to attempt cleaning again with the foam at the lines to see how it goes. I don't know about leaving the leather dry as my bag was pretty dry to begin with. Hope this helps.
I've used emu oil on dried out suede and it worked a treat. I was shocked.
Edit: speeling

Hi guys, I bought this in ebay and I haven’t tried the dunk method at all yet because I am scared of messing up something I am trying to keep.

However this bag has a stain on the inside, I am not sure what it is.

Any tips on removing it? I am worried about it bleeding through to the outside if it is something like ink.

I have not done any rehabbing in the past except applying conditioners so this is new to me.

I have additional photos in case you have other recomendations.
It looks like ink and it could spread and bleed so I wouldn't dunk the bag. It might be best just to leave it alone and apply conditioners to the outside bag surfaces. You could also try brushing the inside of the bag with a suede brush to brighten it up a little.

However, some rehabbers have successfully used zit cream to bleach out an ink spot. I haven't tried it but perhaps others can advise you? Good luck!

You could try lightly sanding it, just on the suede side. If it is ink, it will bleed to the outside if you dunk.

That's the video that started me rehabbing! I watched all of Debi's videos. For a while she had a site called Sacs Magnifiques, but sadly it doesn't seem to be active anymore. If dunking is good enough for a professional restorer, it's good enough for me.

I've also watched many of Michelle/Birdy Bloom's videos on YouTube. Her bag talks are interesting. If she dunks (I can't recall either way, but she does use Leather CPR and Blackrock) she's subtle about it--and she's active on the FB groups.
If you go to the Coach website and look in the reloved section, you’ll see they have a clip of a restorer dunking a vintage bag in a tub of sudsy water, so I’m gonna dunk mine too 😜

Faded and scraped gets new life. 9340. I don't know what this bag is called, but it's kind of cool. Weird accordian bottom. Sharing my rehab. I cemented and filled the corner scrapes, sandpapered the brass, refreshed the color. I like it! Three before a few afters.

Every bag is an experimentation. On this one I used Aileen's leather glue to smooth the ripped areas back in place with my fingers. Let it dry. Then, puffy black fabric paint (like for writing on t-shirts from Michael's craft store), and let it dry. Then, black leather dye. Sometimes I mix the leather glue and fabric paint together and apply it. It's thick and gloppy so you can kind of "sculpt" it. Let it dry. Sometimes I'll sand the area to get it smooth and more fabric paint goes on top. If it's too shiny, I tamp down the shine with black leather dye on top of that.

Hi Guys, check this one out. I found it thrifting and what a score. Its my favorite color and I have been looking for a rafia sort of woven bag for spring, except I wanted something in my color (I’m a winter) so this fits the bill. The inside was a little dirty but cleaned up ok and is now drying.

Is there anything I can do about the corners? There is some discoloration there and under the handle. Also, comparing this online to others, it is missing a longer strap and a hangtag. Any idea where I can get these? Or what specific color this is?

Nice find, I love the Coach Kristin bags! If you post a picture of the creed inside the bag it may be possible to find out what colors were offered when that bag was released. Have you applied conditioner? That may help to darken the worn areas.

I did what I could :shrugs: . At least it doesn't look as bad as it did when I got it!
I am not here as much as I would like but a nice treat to find you rehabbing
I approve
I've seen mixed reviews on Lincoln and attribute that to some people expecting miracles. Would you mind sharing how effective you found it and how drying it was to the leather, please? I have a couple of cleaners on hand and was intrigued by Lincoln...
I picked up some after seeing how @MrsGAM used it with Berks. But have not used it yet.

Well we here appreciate your sharing your talent because that bag turned out super nice! 👍

Here you go, and yes I applied Chamberlain leathermilk 1 and then 2. I kind of hand washed the lining near the sink and it looks much better. Here is the creed

I found this on the Wayback Machine. It appears that your bag is the Kristin Woven Leather Hobo 19314 and it was released in Spring 2012 at the retail price of $398. It seems to have been available in black, white, gray, and rose (tuberose?) but I believe that it was re-released later in the year in additional colors, including brown and red. Nice find!

Applying Blackrocks Leather n Rich on the Corners and worn areas may help to darken those areas. Here's a gray and silver coach replacement strap and hangtag on ebay but I don't know if it is correct for your bag.
