Hi, there. I must admit your comment about a charcoal duffle sac (and the price!!) caught my eye. I find that most duffles alleged to be charcoal (or the real name, Flannel Grey) are actually faded black. One went on ebay last week. It was from post 1994, when grey of any kind was no longer a color for the duffle sac. Is there a way to see the completed listing on shopgoodwill? While it's a site I've used from time to time, I don't know the finer points at all. Thanks for any info or link that you may have.
I can't figure out how to find the sold listing for this on Shopgoodwill, I looked a few weeks ago. Shopgoodwill does have a closed auction search but it only goes back a few mos and the grey duffle sac sold last summer. I should have screen captured it, then.

It was definitely an NYC and definitely flannel. I know it was NYC because I bid on it, and those are the only ones I bid up for. It was one of those sneaky auctions I don't like on SGW, where it sat at a reasonable price for the entire week and then all the action was the last 3 mins.

If you own a flannel feed sac bag, I'd put it up on ebay for $1000 and best offer and see what you get.

Actually you’ve told me exactly what I would have looked at. Thank you and I’m happy you’re such an alert and aware buyer. My grey flannel duffle won’t be for sale any time soon—it’s one of my favorites. Thank you so much!

Speaking of Feed Sacs, ummm.. what's up with this

Is it just my computer or does the creed look raised rather than stamped down? I've not run across a raised creed, but my experience is limited--is it done?

Wow, that tops my nephew who has two Bernese Mountain dogs, that are 110-120 lbs. I love the common denominator our companion animals, not cooperative at times and curiosity especially if a treat may be involved! Corky likes being misted with a spray bottle and the Berners do like being hosed down and chasing the water!
I saw a woman on TV do this to her Salcata. She took one of those brushes ( that you use to clean dishes before you load them in dishwasher ), and a small bucket of water. She would sit in the lounge chair, dip the brush in the bucket and move brush in a circular pattern to each segment on the shell. He loved it, it looked like he was having a turtle orgasm! I didn't realize the shell carried the blood supply too. It is made out of keratin, just a thicker version of our nails. Please see what Corky thinks and let us know.

Corky is a small parrot so that’s a hard no! But whateve’s Charlie may be interested!

As a retired English teacher, I always recommend proof reading before posting.
I think that is AI-translated Japanese. So for those of you worried that AI is going to take away your jobs.... you're ok for a while.

I think that price is a typo, it is really $279. Possibly a translation error also.
The big thing with these Japanese listings (to me) is color. That listing looks like an iridescent purple, to me. But the listing says it is brown. It probably is just brown, so if you bought it based on the photo you would be disappointed.

I once saw a Japanese listing of a feed sac that said "dull black" - which I always look at because I want grey - but really, if you looked close it was green - not the bottle green but a more subdued green. And I posed earlier a Japanese listing that said grey and whateve said it was probably navy.

This buying online and not actually holding the bag and examining it in person in the light is really a kind of a pig in a poke! (no offense to those of you with pet pigs). Don't know what you're getting, exactly. And, sometimes, the outcome is "Yay!" I like finding out a black bag I bought is really green or blue or a brown bag I bought is really burgundy.

Same. I'm willing to pay for the few bags left on my wish list. I'm usually outbid at the last minute, which is disappointing but no longer surprising. There are sharks in vintage Coach waters!

One exception was a green Station bag, authenticated here first. I bid big (a gift to myself on a significant birthday) and fully expected to wake the next morning having lost it for $1 more than my highest, barely comfortable bid. Surprise--I won the auction! Comps on it are about what I paid and higher.

Now to find that elusive Derby 9904 at a decent price....
Your Green Station Bag is beautiful and if you are happy with the price you paid to get what you wanted you don't have to justify the expense to anyone except yourself. I too bid high & won outside my comfort zone to obtain a gift for my sister. It came down to the last 4 seconds of a GW auction. I sniped a bid higher than someone else who was sniping and they did not have a enough time to bid higher.

I might worry that it was dyed. Sometimes dyed bags have that iridescent purple look. It looks like that to me too.

We call it the happy dance! It is really cute; they sway their backsides back and forth.

Speaking of orgasms, I've witnessed those too! Charlie is definitely a boy and there are some large rocks in our yard he loves. When male tortoises first reveal to you that they are male, it is an experience you are unlikely to forget! I thought his intestines had come out and were laying on the patio.

I love big dogs and would love to have Bernese Mountain dog. They are so cute and cuddly looking.
