I have a aqua Regina and a red, sapphire and jade Kimbal with the rolled strap, but have not had issues. I wonder if spraying the leather with something like Apple Guard would seal the colour in as well as protect the bag from rain?
Thanks, I thought about it and I think it might be the leather therapy. Using it always makes me need to buff it a tonne w/ a cloth so I slathered it in fairy and soaked it in hot water to try to remove the excess lt. I'm going to see if that helps and if not I'll try to find something (apple garde not available in uk:() to seal it. Thanks!

By the way, I remember you said you don't wipe off excess product because you don't want to waste it. So do you just apply br and leave it to dry before buffing? I'm afraid to try that in case it makes a mess and I have to redunk lol.

Hi all,

I have a Maggie duffle in Bone I found at a thrift store YEARS ago and it has a sizable ink stain on the strap and ink marks on a few places on the bag. I've looked through this thread and it seems that it's not advisable to try to remove. What do you think?

Thanks for your insight. I don't want to ruin this bag trying to remove the ink. I've had her for a long time now and finally started wearing her a short while ago.

I've used a very small amount of rubbing alcohol and a toothpick to absorb the ink (or a q-tip), but ONLY on pebbled leather in shades of BT. On a light color and/or smooth leather, the ink might run and be very noticeable. But I'm curious to hear what others suggest you do.

I've just purchased an Italian Bridle Satchel 6707 in Mahogany and Brass from sfusco18 on Poshmark and it has been authenticated by Hyacinth.

In case anyone is interested, the same seller has another Bridle Satchel 6707 (not yet authenticated) in Black and Nickel listed for $50 OBO, see the link below. I offered $40 for the brown one and she countered with $41 which I accepted.

The bags are pictured with a Coach dustbag but the description says that it "COMES W/ GENERIC/OTHER MISC. BRAND DUST BAG!!!!!"

Neither bag has a hangtag but I don't think(?) that this style came with a hangtag. Does anyone know for sure because I see some listed online both with/without vintage Gramercy-style hangtags?

@Lake Effect recently posted some catalog photos and descriptions of this bag, see the links below:

In case you are looking for new hangtags for rehab projects, Coach customer service e-mailed me that:

Our system indicates the hangtag department is closed due to covid at this time we do not know when that department will open back up. We understand how disappointing this may be and apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced. You can go to one of the Coach Stores and maybe they can assist you with extra hang tags.

Nice bag but I wonder why she countered with just one dollar more, haha!

I've gotten bead chains from the London store (they had a load of them in a glass bowl) and a hangtag from an outlet store so probably worth a try wherever you are.

All my red bag people can anyone tell me what’s going on here? I washed and dried and conditioned with CPR. These blotches haven’t faded. I think they are water stains but I’m just not sure. The conditioner does make them darker temporarily. Should I wash again?

I'd give it time because the dark spots may fade as it dries completely.
