I've only rehabbed one Sheridan bag, it was a green Glenwood Sheridan and it was in terrible shape. It was one of my earliest rehabs and I was afraid to give it a bath but I had to do it because it was in such bad condition - and it came out fine! See the before and after pics at the link below:

Thank you...I hope mine comes out as nice as yours.
I love it when you attach your examples.

Try the Wood n Stuff website. You can order 1 oz sample sizes of several colors you can mix with the BT to get the right color. The owner might be able to help you figure out what you need.

Thanks whateve. I will try that as well. I am actually quite impressed with the finish of it just need a slight shade change. I'm so close!!!

Edit: So I decided to email them but also I ordered samples to mix lol. I think because I have already done the bag its easier just to go back through with a slightly darker mix and integrate it into what I already have. I really don't want to strip her again. I think she has a nice base layer now anyway. I just need it like 1 shade darker. I also got some samples for my other bags.

I am going to be a color expert when this is all said and done lol.

well I come with an update. This stuff I ordered I applied today in “British tan” for the patricias legacy and I am not happy with the color. The consistency is good but their take on BT is way too orange/pink. There’s hardly any red at all.

so I get one more shot. I am going to go for broke and dye the bag. I’m just not sure it will cover spots. I’m so annoyed because the wood n stuff leather color went on really well but god this color is not it.

I have heard of people using Saphir Juvacuir in Medium Brown for BT and they’ve all said it’s a perfect match. I’m not sure how well it would cover the spots, but just an option.

Hi all,
I have a question about vintage Coach bag in bone. I notice some of bags list as "bone color" look more ivory/off-white, but some look like white. (I attached some images of Coach Regina bags for an example) Is that because the bags were made in different years? Or some of the bag has been dyed?

I finished two rehabs this week! Here’s the Sonoma Satchel in Saddle:

After a bath, 2 coats of Leather Therapy, 1 coat of Obenauf’s Heavy Duty LP, and 2 coats of Blackrocks:

I was actually expecting to have to recolor the faded parts, but the color came back after Obenauf’s and Blackrocks.

Both your rehabs are exquisite, @MrsGAM!

Coach offered vintage bags in white and/or bone depending on the year and style. Many of our TPFers have catalogue photos that can help you discern the available colours of a particular style in a specific year. :flowers: Unfortunately colours aren't always correctly identified by sellers and might also be misrepresented depending on the quality and lighting in the listing photos.

I personally prefer white and here is an example of a white 1995 Sling Bag I recently purchased! (The tassels and hangtag are from approximately 10 years after the sling bag and therefore in "chalk". They are slightly more cream in tone.)

It could just be the quality of the photo. I've had trouble photographing bone colored bags. This is a bone city. city036.jpg
This is what it looked like when I took the picture inside my white bathtub.

Or the seller could be wrong and it really it a white bag.

Beautiful rehabs! I don't know if I'm brave enough to put anything on the suede. I wonder if I should on my suede watermelon bag.
