No, I like the larger size. I am just attracted to the wine color and thought it might be of interest to someone that wants to try rehabbing a bleecker. This is the smaller one. It doesn't hold much. Are you going to accept?

My preferred way is being out in the hot sun and using a makeup brush to brush it on. It sinks right into the hot wet leatherThank you so much for your help. I’m redunking the bag now and I’ll let you guys know how it goes!
one more question though, when you apply the cpr, do you apply a large amount and let it soak in, or do you wipe off the excess with a cloth?

I'm in the uk so a hot sunny day is very rare so I end up spending all day outside soaking in the sun whilst rehabbing. I love it SO MUCH compared to air drying; the sun completely kills any chance of a slight dampish smell that I find I get from air drying even if it's 110 per cent dry. As long as you're applying conditioner at intervals so the leather doesn't get too dry.Ive always wondered about leaving bags outside to dry. I had always thought the sun was damaging to leather, but I see that many of you like to leave your bags out and have great results!
It’s usually very hot and sunny where I’m from, but this whole week has been gloomy and rainy. I guess I’m just gonna have to get a new bag to try out your method some other time![]()

I told myself I was sticking to 'curating' and ban island but I've already added two bags to my watchlist and plan to bid...![]()

I find you can mimic the brushed look with the steel wool too! Like minds!I think that's right, whatev, because it came off quite easily.
I did one side of the turnlock extremely carefully with 0000 steel wool and it has turned out really well! It even still looks like brushed brass!![]()
Those heavy duty green scrubby pads are great for giving metal a brushed finish. I prefer that look, so after polishing a piece of jewellery (or purse hardware) I'm working on, I give it the once over with a scrubby to finish. I find it's a little gentler on the metal as well.I find you can mimic the brushed look with the steel wool too! Like minds!
We try to avoid the heat in California too. I like to hang out my sheets to dry. I don't put bags out to dry because they would dry too fast I think. I always think that with your humidity nothing would ever dry outdoors.Oh then yes you have to make the most of it! I’m from south Florida and it seems like we just try to avoid the sun and heat instead
I really need to find ban island and stay there… it seems like every bag is my “last” bag![]()

My mahogany Winnie is finally done! Post-rehab there were a lot of scratches along the dowel as well as the front flap. No amount of CPR, Renapur, Blackrocks & horse hair brushing was getting rid of it. I thought about using my left over courier dye to dye the Winnie black but ultimately decided against it as I just couldn’t bring myself to do it haha. Then I drove 30 mins to a shoe/handbag repair shop that carries Saphir products & the cobbler was SO friendly. He helped me choose the correct Juvacuir colour for my Winnie so I could colour refresh the bag. Funny enough, the shade that matched is #37 medium brown which is the exact shade @Lake Effect said matched her BT bags (go figure!). I mainly focused on the problematic areas, left it for a while & then buffed with a horse hair brush. Tackiness was gone after a day! Now enough rambling, here are the pics:

Special thank you to the TPF’er who made owning this Winnie possible (really wish I could tag you without getting in trouble lol) & @Lake Effect, you’re the reason Juvacuir ended up on my radar!![]()
