Nice. As though Coach wanted to nod at the vintage Double Clutch style and kiss lock feature on this bag.

Also, I like that you showed a close up of the chain strap. It is easy to see how the leather was woven in to embellish it.

Thanks! Yes, there's a lot of classic, vintage style to the Bridget bag, but somehow my black Bridget always feels a little "hip and edgy" when I'm carrying it. (To an old lady like me, anyway!) I think it is the antique brass, the large chain and leather strap, and all that black leather that makes it feel that way to me - I love it! The black Bridget was my first 65th Anniversary bag and it started my attraction to the line.

Help! Any tips to get paint off a bag other than scrubbing with acetone and alcohol? Went to dunk this and as soon at it hit the water, I said a few expletives. Felt stiff but I thought maybe it was just dry.....s**tView attachment 5064798View attachment 5064799View attachment 5064800View attachment 5064801
If it's acrylic based, a long soak in (almost) hot water with a gentle scrub afterwards should get it off. I always try that first to suss it out. Chemicals are always a last resort for me.

I was trying to find products that specifically mentioned being for aniline leather and I've just placed orders for these two: Aniline leather cleaner and conditioner & Chambers Leather Balsam - I got 500ml but for the 200ml version you can get lavender or vanilla scented, yummy. I'll try them out and review them on here with photographs!

I figured since CPR and BR are so expensive to get to me, I'll use them sparingly on my little Casinos and experiment with/use up the other conditioners (the above, Chamberlain's, Saphir etc) on the drier and worse ones including the shoe polish mess and the big parched Court.

I noticed the below question on the Chambers about its use on aniline leather:
Is this suitable for aniline leather as reven renapur cannot be used on this type of leather?
Answer:
Yes, the Chambers leather balsam is suitable for aniline leather and is also suitable for completely untreated leather (as it comes from the tannery). Kind regards, Phil

I've got Renapur so I'll see if I can do some sort of comparison.

I finished the rehab of my 65th Anniversary Legacy Rose Bridget 11622 with Brass Hardware. The bag was released in early 2008 for $398. I bought mine from an online auction in June 2019 for $21.50 and it came with the original dustbag. It was expertly authenticated by @whateve and @BeenBurned.

I surface-cleaned and conditioned the bag when I received it and I've carried it several times. I like it but I always felt that it looked a little dull and worn but I was afraid to give it a bath because it is such an unusual color. Also because some of the early 65th Anniversary bags were made of vachetta leather and there were some bleeding and color transfer problems reported. However, I found the Coach description of the bag on the Wayback Machine and it just said "supple leather exterior" with no mention of vachetta, so I decided to go for the full rehab!

I washed it in the sink with Dawn and the bag did fine. I used Leather CPR and Black Rocks to condition it and I think they improved the color and shine. There are a couple of areas that still show signs of wear, like the kisslock frame, but I decided against trying to match that unusual color (for touchups) and so I left them alone.

I like the antique brass look so I didn't do much polishing (and I hate polishing!) but I did give special attention to a few hardware areas that were scratched or very tarnished. Polishing that interwoven leather and chain strap seems impossible to me, anyway.

The bag was missing both hangtags but luckily I had a brass medallion in my stash. I didn't have a leather hangtag that would match the color of the bag, but I tried a few different options and decided to use a dark gold leather hangtag.

Here are the before and after pictures. It is a difficult color to photograph. Pictures taken back when the bag was released are a lighter pink color but it has darkened with age. In some lighting it looks coral/pink and in other lights it looks salmon/orange. It isn't a color that will compliment every outfit but I think that it will work when you are wearing brown, navy, gray, ivory, etc,

See below for before and after pictures of my rehabed rose Bridget!

Seeing your Bridget is giving my serious second thoughts on giving mine to my daughter, nah I did the right thing, she will be used and loved instead of just admired.:hbeat:

Tried cuticle remover on the old pen stains as per the Debi video and it did absolutely nothing. Not too bad for me as Coach cleaner had faded the marks and I'm not too fussed. So cuticle remover might not work on super old stains or maybe only certain brands would work as mine (Cuccio) didn't.

Also tried the Chambers aniline balsam, which arrived today. I like it - it's a thick balsam conditioner so in a rehab process, I would probably apply CPR whilst damp, Chambers once dry and finish with BR/Renapur. What's CPR like on super dry areas- do you guys spot-apply? I'd probably use the Chambers for it as it's so thick and so I can use less CPR.

Attacked the black casino with acetone again but more methodically and thoroughly and got quite a substantial amount off. Scrubbed vigorously with fairy and soaking overnight now. Fingers crossed! Hopefully won't have to repeat too many times but being able to see the leather slowly reveal itself as the polish came off boosted my mood as I have been feeling super repulsed by the bag. Lots of brown specks so I think a Kiwi dye touch-up is in its (far) future.

Hello! I’ve finally gotten my hand on the famed leather cpr! (sorry for the excitement, we dont have that here in our country). I have a couple of vintage coach bags that i’ve rehabbed before using local conditioners. Would you recommend to dunk them again and apply leather cpr to get the best results? They are a little dry and dull but not really misshapen or dirty. Do you still get good results when you use leather cpr on “undunked” bags? Thank you!

When I got CPR for the first time, I ended up re-dunking bags that I had already rehabbed & the CPR made them all look much better. Depending on how much you got, maybe only do the bags you really wanna bring back to life first. If you have enough leftover, I say go for the re-dunk of your “already rehabbed” bags!

Envy both your gorgeous collection and the fact you now have CPR!:lol::lol: I will join your excitement very soon hopefully as my CPR should be arriving soon!! When my CPR comes, I will be redunking all except the ones in really good condition.

Yeah that's a great move. My red and BT1 casinos are perfect to me right now so I won't touch them but I will be redunking everything else. I can't wait to have a properly hydrated Court!!!

What are these spots? 9145 Legacy Studio Flap is the bag, specifically looking at the flap.

Could they be mould? Vinegar will kill newly developing mould and remove the spots (I know from my own experience), but established spots/stains are unfortunately permanent.
I was suspecting that. I’ll have to hit it with vinegar tomorrow.

I’m sad because I dunked it Friday and the time I’ve spent conditioning is lost

Thanks for the insight! ❤️ I really am tempted to dunk them all.
