I know that this is the wrong forum but do any of you have experience rehabbing Rebecca Minkoff items? At the link below is a RM "crossbody wallet on a chain" that I picked up at the thrift store. I'm going to clean it up and give it to a friend that I think will like it. It's in pretty good shape but I've never rehabbed any Minkoff items and I haven't been able to find any info about RM rehabbing.

If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them, thanks!

Do you have any pictures?

Wow, that's commitment, not to say quite a handbag budget! In one of the new catalogs I just picked up from 2008, they do not feature your Bridget but do have it's very big sister, the Lily Satchel, in signature canvas. I came across a Lily in Denim sig at a thrift shop, beyond the point of any reasonable return. It weighed a TON.
I have to go and peruse and/or revive any Legacy or Tattersall threads. I have been developing feelings I can't deny  I feel like I am cheating on Coach circa 1995

eta, I have to go check look around if anyone had done "What's in your Bag" with this one.
I bought a medium leather Lily once on ebay. The minute I tried to lift it out of the box I knew it was a mistake. I think it weighed 5 pounds empty! I didn't even try to carry it once. I sold it as quick as I could.

When I first joined the forum, there were a lot of Legacy anniversary (2006) lovers here. No one talks about them much anymore. No one talked about 2007 Bleecker. I discovered those on my own.

Hi guys, this is the first time I post in this thread. I got this beautiful Mahony vintage Coach Winnie recently but it has some dark marks on the surface. Is it possible to remove it? It looks like ink or mark pen. I searched online and some people suggested to use rubbing alcohol or Amedox ink and stain remover, but I'm not sure if that can apply on the leather of vintage coach bag. Any advice will be appreciated! Thank you!
Hi, I'm new to rehabbing and I have not tried this yet, but Debi the Restorer suggests (non oil based) cuticle remover. She has a new series of very short videos on YouTube and one shows her removing a pen mark with cuticle remover.

Not yet...! I have 5 old ladies dunked, first coat of CPR done, if that’s enough for a few of them, then I’ll be using my BR this weekend
Hi,

Finally...my first completed rehab with a Blackrock top coat.

To be fair, this Y2K Legacy Studio Flap Crossbody bag #9144 needed very little TLC, and looks gorgeous now.

A quick before (seller’s image) and after (mine). Very happy indeed.

Stay safe

So excited, the two casinos came earlier than expected!!! I think I'll precondition them with the chamberlain's for now whilst waiting on the CPR and put them to the side. I have lots of deadlines at the moment so can't focus too much on the rehabs, although it's forecasted to be relatively sunny this week... eek!

ETA: giving it a superficial clean and I think there might be shoe polish on the black one... wiped it over with acetone and it's gone kind of gummy and opaque looking. The conditioner also wasn't absorbing in the same way as the brown one.

Going at it with acetone now. At this point I should've just bought the shoe polished one off depop, at least it was in a better condition! Haha. My relationship with the black Casino is truly cursed!!!

Asked seller in a casual way if anything was used on it and she says she got it from an estate sale and didn't do anything before listing. Guess it was the previous owner.

To those with experience in this, did you find acetone and/or saddle soap to work better? I'm going at it with acetone and then thinking to scrub with saddle soap as per Google searches.

You can try the saddle soap first and get off as much as possible then do a once over with acetone. Saddle soap will be less drying than acetone. Once you get the CPR and you dunk the rest will come off.

People didn't know any better back then- they thought leather was leather. All the same. But it's not. Shoe leather is not the same as glove tanned leather. Now we have to correct the mistakes of the past.

Thank you so much for your advice, I will do that and keep the thread updated.

Ugh, SOOOOO annoying - the one time I need the saddle soap, it's disappeared somewhere (hopefully still) in the house!!! Will dunk the BT one first and wait to magically come across the soap somewhere without stressing.

Hello, I have washed and conditioned this Envelope Clutch but the leather looks very puckered. Should I wash again and stuff with towels to dry or is there some way to get rid of the puckering without washing again?
