It wouldn't hurt to add a little paint to the CPR but I think it looks great! It could recover completely with BR. There is no harm in doing BR first.

I would try blackrocks first, there have been many times that I was surprised at how well the corners and piping responded to rehabbing and BRs. Good luck!
Thank you both! Just finished putting on a coat of BR. The bag just went two shades darker black and I love it! Pics coming soon!
 
Here are the results of my blue Kira rehab. I gave the bag a bath and scrubbed it inside and out. There was some blue bleeding into the bath water, but not bad and luckily the lining is blue. Then I drained, stuffed, and dried the bag and applied Leather CPR. I used acrylic and CPR to repair the rubbing damage but it is still faintly visible in a couple of areas. Finally I did some gentle polishing of the brass hardware.

These are the after pics of my Kira 13930 B4 BL (2009, $898) and I bought some more daffodils to compliment Kira because she is a major bag!
