Well it took an entire bottle of acetone, but I got it all off. Not only was it on the outside but it was in the pocket, the inside, and the strap! It's a lighter color than it was but it's soft and looks like an old coach should. Lol.Boooo. Sorry, v. [emoji20] Good luck.

Was this the bag on AT, your hubs got you?Well it took an entire bottle of acetone, but I got it all off. Not only was it on the outside but it was in the pocket, the inside, and the strap! It's a lighter color than it was but it's soft and looks like an old coach should. Lol.

I haven't dunked one, but one of the bags I had with that lining did bleed just from wiping it with a wet cloth. But it only happened to one of my bags that had it--not all of them.Has anyone ever dunked something like this with the silk stripes inside? Does the lining or the red bleed? It's dirty inside and scratched and dented a little outside. Also is the hardware not real brass? I'm thinking of leaving it tarnished.
I've bought crystals from this seller on ebay https://www.ebay.com/usr/iheartcrystals2?_trksid=p2047675.l2559Just got this pouch but it’s missing a few of the crystal studs on the kisslock part, any idea where I could get matching crystals? Or know of a service I could send for service?
Don't polish the brass. It usually makes it worse. If needed, you can wipe with vinegar to stop verdigris. It is plated.Has anyone ever dunked something like this with the silk stripes inside? There was a taupe but it looks darker and more brown than your bag.Hi everyone! I'm fairly new to Coach Rehab and Vintage Coach, but it's my current obsession! My husband recently purchased a Prairie Saddle bag for me at a nearby antique store for our wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, we didn't realized it had been painted gray before we bought her, and the store didn't take returns. I've managed to take off most, if not all, of the paint and now I'm wondering what color it is! Taupe or putty? She was made in October of 1995. Any help would be appreciated! I'm still working on conditioning her - she has 2 coats of light conditioner so far - but here are some pictures:

She was painted the same color as the wallet in this picture! They were sold as a matching pair.

I'm loving the color now and it has so much character! Most of my other vintage pieces are black.

That's so hard to tell! It is hard to measure. It's easier on the large sizes. For some, I bought several sizes.Thank you @whateve , I’ll take a look at them. Any suggestions as to an appropriate size ?
Thanks whateve! I'm guessing it's taupe that hasn't been taken care of very well. The inside is more brownish than the picture I posted shows. Maybe it'll get more brown with more conditioning. There was a taupe but it looks darker and more brown than your bag.
