I WANT THIS BAG! I've never ordered from Mercari, have you??
I like Mercari. I've never had to deal with a problem, though, so I don't know how responsive they would be. I would definitely get it authenticated first.
I received a red Willis on Monday that was in a plain unpadded plastic envelope with no wrapping or anything. Just stuffed in the envelope. I am so glad it wasn't damaged! It's a 15 year old bag that looks like it has never been carried. I may have cried a little if the half-wit seller had damaged a pristine 2004 Costa Rican Willis. SMDH too.
I had a seller ship a bag in an envelope. The strap was crimped and damaged. The seller blamed the post office! I kept the bag because I really wanted the style but every time I look at that strap, I feel sad.

Once and likely never again. It is too hard to verify seller ratings and I wound up buying a fake. Now, the ensuing prob was partially my fault, because having received the bag pictured and not really knowing the brand I bought well I left positive feedback...then was humilated online when another poster followed by several others said it was fake. Went back to Mercari to try to explain, but you can’t get a person, you just wind up in a click here loop. Went through Paypal who had more hoops than usual and I was able to return it for a refund. The really bad Mercari parts are that while feedback completes a sale, you only have 3 days to leave it so if you are trying to verify authenticity after purchase, prob or not, it’s yours after 3 days also, they then sent me an email threatening to deactivate my account if I ever turned them in to Paypal again because buyers are to go them even though I was unable to reach them. Again, partially my fault, but they have really bad customer service.

I usually only stick to Ebay and sometimes etsy.

What a shame! Especially if we as buyers pay for shipping. It should be packed carefully and insured. I happily pay a little extra for that, if necessary .
