I'm super curious about the Crosby amd and can't wait to see how it turns out.

You mentioned perfume oils and I have to ask, are you a bpal fan?
I am a BPAL fan! I have bottles of Snake Oil, O, and Love's Philosophy sitting next to my right now actually lol. I also love Alkemia, Sixteen92, Solstice Scents, Arcana, and Poesie. I haven't been buying much lately though because I have sooo many full bottles and samples that I haven't even put a dent in.

Here are a couple before pictures of the Crosby. The front flap feels just like the double layers of leather on my Court, so I don't think it's reinforced like the front of the Manor seems to be.

I dunked my dirty Manor this morning and I am astonished at how well it's looking so far. I got most of the ink out and prevented a large spread to the outside of the bag. I cleaned the turd looking things out of the back pocket and disinfected it. I think more imperfections will begin to show as the color lightens while the bag dries but I'm beginning to suspect that this might turn out to be a bag that I'll carry! The flap doesn't show any signs of warping, hopefully it will stay that way.
Here are before and after pics of the interior ink, exterior ink, turdy pocket, and the whole bag drying (the yellow towel is reflecting off of the bag in the lower right corner, that isn't discoloration of the bag iteslf):

I think it looks great so far! Even if more imperfections start to show up as it dries, I bet a lot of them will disappear again once the leather gets moisturized and conditioned thoroughly.

I thought I would have a big ink stain on the outside of the bag from soaking it with that much ink inside. I had to dab at the ink for almost an hour before it wasn't coming off on the paper towels any more. I probably could have gotten more ink out of the inside but the outside was done. I wasn't getting any more ink out of that spot. I think it's going to look ok! And it's so dang CLEAN. I'm very happy so far. And surprised!

Hello! I have been a member for a long time but haven't been on here in awhile. I recently caught the rehab bug and have done my first two recently.
I wanted to thank you all for your invaluable advice and tips on restoration. Who knew I could own a gorgeous leather Coach purse for $28?! Lol
She had obviously been stacked in someone's closet with something heavy on top of her.
Here she is lovely Willis before and after her bath. She is a sort of gray with nickel hardware. ❤️
I feel like she could maybe benefit from a heavier conditioner than Apple, which is what I'm using?

Gorgeous!! I use Leather CPR then Blackrocks on my rehabs and that seems to work really well for me. I've never used Apple though, so I can't offer comparison advice.

I almost forgot! A shot of the back and how the dents are gone! I just feel like she could be shinier.

What a great find! I really love the nickel hardware. I think a couple of coats of Blackrock Leather 'N' Rich would help give it that shine you're looking for. I recently got a jar on Amazon and it was available with Prime shipping, which is always nice if you have it!

I don't know, I was not able to find any mention of it in this thread so I'm not sure if anyone has ever used it on a handbag. It's supposedly a better disinfectant than bleach without the bleaching effect so I'm going to try it. I already have it on hand, I use it to clean my parrot cages because it's supposed to be safer than bleach as well. As long as it's thoroughly rinsed it should be fine, so I'll use it before the dunks. I'll report back! I just got a text that my weekend overtime got canceled so now I have time to work on my bags this weekend! Yay!!
I tried it once and thought there was something about it leaving a coating; so I couldn't use it with my microfiber towels, but maybe that wasn't it. I loved the soft sweet scent. I'm glad you have time for bag rehabbing and a positive attitude about the OT cancellation!
