That's pretty! I would use BRs and it should even out the tan trim and it may make the red/orange color

I tend to take more risks with an inexpensive bag that it is in poor condition then I do with a bag in good condition - but I would definitely consider using BRs on that bag.

Thanks katev, you saw exactly what I was talking about. I think I may just risk it because that’s the only way I would carry it without too many worries. I will test the inside pocket and see what happens.

I let you know what happens [emoji4]

Have you used BlackRocks before? Use it very sparingly and wipe it off quickly or it gets sticky!

Sounds good. Make sure the pocket looks to be the same color as the outside of the bag because sometimes they are a bit different due to less exposure to light.

You are so right! It is lighter... hmmm ugh [emoji58] I’ll see what happens later this evening. I’ve been running around like crazy today [emoji4]

It sounds like the exterior has faded a bit, so BRs may help to restore the original color. What is the style number for that bag, have you seen photos of the colors intensity on other bags of that style?

I wonder if your bag was released at the same time as this red and tan spectator City Bag?

Interesting.... I’m not 100% sure because it has a xxxx-xxx code but I’m thinking it’s 6765 Madison satchel Spectator?

I found a picture of it online and both the red and tan colors are darker, similar to that City Bag that I previously posted. It may be a good thing if you are able to darken it a bit with BRs (or Obenaufs).

Thanks a bunch! I only have black rocks. I’ve never used the other brand you named, however I think you recommended it for the black wallet and yellow purse I have. I think it was gramercy, so I do need to get some.

I have used Obenauf's once or twice but I wouldn't recommended it for a Gramercy bag. I probably recommended Leather Therapy Restorer and Conditioner because that is what I usually use on the vintage Italian Coach bags. It's sometimes just called "Leather Therapy Oil" but it is the same product.

I am currently working on a Currant-colored Gramercy bag that has some worn corners and I am thinking of trying a little Blackrocks (very lightly) on the worn areas - more to follow!

Obenauf's is known to darken bags, but there are different Obenauf's products and they do not all cause darkening - you should research it carefully before deciding to use (or not to use) an Obenauf's product. If you feel that this Madison spectator satchel should be darker, then Obenauf's might be just the thing.

Yes, that’s what it was. Where did you find it? I’m gonna right this down this time. I suffer from insomnia, so my memory is horrible. I’m looking forward to seeing how your bag turns out.

Do you use that on the Madison and the tuxedo bags? The pebbled leather Italian bags? I haven’t put anything on them yet. I would like to know what you recommend. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me out, I really appreciated it [emoji5]

So here it is after dunking, 2 applications of Leather CPR, and a light application of Blackrocks. It looks so much better! Question for the pros, is there anything I can use to help buff it to a shine? I used microfiber cloths and got all the residue absorbed/taken off, but I'd love to get it to a luster.

I've used Blackrocks on a Gramercy. It works fine. You just have to wipe thoroughly so you don't get anything stuck in the cracks.
