Very interesting. It's so subjective and there are so many factors that affect the perception. And so many factors that affect each individual bag's color!I know we have seen the catalogue pics. I am guessing this sellers bought these, I saw a few lots of them up on eBay last year. Check out the tags . . .

Here's my in-home, natural lighting comparison of my idea of Putty (Dinky) and Tabac (Shoulder Purse). Both have NYC creeds with xxx-xxxx serial # format:

Ok perfect!! Thank you againYou should have the CPR on hand before the bag dries from the bath. That can take a couple days. You could dunk it today if you're getting the conditioner tomorrow. You can wait on the Blackrocks. That can be used anytime after the rest of the rehab is done.
Yes, that’s me!!! Hahah! I was so happy she sent me here!Did you find this place through a YouTuber? I think I recognize your story. Welcome!
It looks like it could be mold or oil spots. Do you feel any texture difference where the spots are?
I second what the others say. Give it a dunk with a bit of vinegar. Let it dry completely.
These regab threads go back about 10 years so have fun with your research.

There is no difference in texture. Do I dunk it in soapy water with some vinegar in it? Or do I do a different dunk of vinegar water after the soapy water?! this thread is very extensive, I haven’t gotten to The dunking portion of it
There are several neutrals that mystify me!Interesting, I had never seen the putty color tag before and always thought that the same as tabac.
Thanks for all of the suggestions bag is still drying and color is definite teal blue now.
That was me! I did a video on the dunk because there is no other demonstration of the process. Tons of photos here though.
You can use the vinegar in the rinse water....and dry in a ventelated non cold area. It's good that there is no texture change. Sometimes mold creates brittle areas.
Start the leather CPR when the bag is almost dry. Do maybe three layers spread out over a few days. Then apply the Black Rocks.
