I think it is probably the same red as mine, just darker from patina.View attachment 4263650
Definitely dark red. Here it is next to burgundy, but they both look washed out because of the sun. I just can’t take pictures.

It depends on how worn it is. If the nap is gone, it is nearly impossible to bring it back. Don't waste your time on suede cleaners. Washing and brushing will help the most. Also if the color is faded, you can restore that by painting on RIT dye.Hi,
Is there a way to rehab suede? I am in love with this Borough Bag that is half black suede and half black leather, but I'm sure the suede is fairly worn. Here is a link::

Thanks for your input! I can't stop thinking about this bag!!
I used Collonil Organic Bamboo Lotion spray on a suede hobo that I had put through the washer twice ( it was quite stained). I thought the Collonil retored some of the moisture, deepened the colour a bit, and added a light sheen as well as some softness.Hi,

Interesting, thanks for the tip. I like the idea of a spray-on product for more even coverage.I used Collonil Organic Bamboo Lotion spray on a suede hobo that I had put through the washer twice ( it was quite stained). The bag wasn't a Coach, however, but a Lucky brand hobo in chocolate brown. The trim was also leather, and the spray didn't seem to have a negative effect on any trim it touched.
My suede was in very good shape to start with, just dry and faded from all the washing.
Don't know if that's helpful for you - just my experience.
If you wash and condition it, those corners are likely to turn black again. If you still aren't happy with the results, you can mix a tiny amount of black paint in with the conditioner when you condition the corners. I've used regular acrylic craft paint, artist acrylic, fabric puff paint, Wood n Stuff's leather refinish, and Leather color doctor restoration paint. The first two might leave it too dull if you use too much paint so you might have to touch up with a bit of gloss medium and varnish.Hi all! I saw this style bag online yesterday and fell in love with it. I almost purchased a British tan one on Etsy last night, but I didn’t want to spend that much on me this time of year. Today I went out shopping consignment shops and found this one for $48, but the corners are white. Do you dye the corners? If so what kind of dye and can you just do the corners? Thanks so much for any assistance you can give me [emoji4]

Your back is black so a light application of black acrylic will work nicely. Angelees works lovely on leather. My technique is to do multiple watered down layers. I also use a tiny bit of sealer.
Your bag is lovely. I want!
That's one of the reasons I like using paint rather than dye. Dye is permanent. The paint isn't as permanent. It can be removed easily if you do it right away, or with acetone if you wait too long. Thanks so much [emoji4] I was afraid to you dye it because I used dye on one of my Sterling silver Kieselstein bags and regretted, still trying to figure out how to fix it. It seem like this leather does better with dye, so I will try it if it needs it. Thanks again for your help and your kind words [emoji5]
