Good morning all. I have searched this site and was unable to come up with an answer. I am looking at a Chasin Attache that seems to have the mexican striped lining removed throughout. Is there any replacement resources available for this lining? I fear not, but the bag is a fantastic price so I am tempted. How much would this detract from it's value? There are no indications of any tags. I don't necessarily buy bags for their value, i buy them because i love them, but want to make a wise purchase/investment. TIA

Are you sure that the lining was removed? What a sacrilege! But Coach repeated some of Bonnie's styles later creating similar styles in unlined bags - does it have a creed patch or just a metal coach tag or label?

How bad does the interior look? Is it raw leather? Maybe you can do something to make it look better.

I love the striped lining so I would probably pass but it is up to you.

I see two options on Amazon and one through the Wal-Mart site but it doesn’t list the ingredients. Since it’s pretty expensive and I don’t think I need much, I was trying to figure out if I could make my own.

I've tried wiping mine with vinegar and it didn't help. I need to try heating it to see if it disappears temporarily. What I'm seeing on Walmart and Amazon is that it isn't available. I found it here: https://www.furnitureclinic.com/Spe...L-Oa-J1mLK5275u5whr5krdNIQQbNifBoCFiUQAvD_BwE and here:

It looks like someone wrote the description for both.

Hi, looking for advice before I start my first rehab. Can't wait to see the results, but don't want to rush into it before I know what I'm doing.

This is an NYC courier, my first Coach. My plan was Dawn bath, then Leather CPR and Black rocks, and Brasso. On the underside of the front flap, the end of the tongue/tab easily pulls apart from the flap, as shown in pics #1 and 2. I can lift the loose end up to the point where you can see the end of what I think is a strip of leather inside the tongue. Is this normal, or due to wear?

I'm concerned that if I bathe her, the water will get inside the tongue and it won't dry out fully. If this needs repair, is there a certain type of glue you recommend? Also, is it recommended to glue first, then bathe, or the other way around?

Pics #3 and 4 show where the edge of the piping is loose where the flap meets the main body of the purse. I figure this is normal wear and tear, since this area receives the most stress from the leather being flexed. It doesn't really bother me, but I'm worried that this might make her more prone to further damage if I don't reinforce the area.

Eagerly awaiting your thoughts. Thank you! IMG_7432.JPGIMG_7435.JPGIMG_7433-1.JPGIMG_7434-1.JPG

I've washed several couriers without a problem. I don't think that edging looks bad at all.

I agree, I don't think you need to reinforce it.

I bathed one Courier and had no problems either. The tongue came out fine.

Awesome, thanks for the reassurance. I'm probably overthinking it because I've been traumatized by past attempts at cleaning vintage clothes/accessories myself. I'll go ahead and take the plunge with your blessings.
One more thought on polishing the buckles: Be sure to mask off the leather next to the buckles to protect it. I use clingy plastic wrap, not tape. I like to use Cape Cod Metal Polishing cloths instead of Brasso. Much neater! If necessary, I sometimes use very fine steel wool (#000) too.

Are the polishing cloths reusable for a while? Or are they one and done?
