She looks beautiful!
All convertible clutches have that same shape. They are supposed to collapse in at the sides and bottom. I think it is supposed to fill out the more stuff you carry. The leather on these older bags scratches super easily. You can get obsessive if you worry about it. Every time I carry a vintage bag, I end up scratching it and recondition it as soon as I get home. I find that a little acrylic paint mixed with conditioner does wonder on the corners. It might be tricky getting an exact match for the gray.
Whateve, I remember you suggested that, so I refreshed the corners of my black soho bag with this mixture. I love the way it blended, but I wonder how long this is going to last? It doesn't look like a permanent solution to me.

I think it is going to last a long time. It is pretty difficult to clean paint off leather so I don't think it will disappear. It might wear off eventually but it is pretty easy to reapply, plus it lasts longer than just conditioner. I guess if you want a permanent solution, you could always use dye.

What do you buff with? Also how do you apply CPR? Sponge or cloth? I can't figure out which one I like:)
With my limited experience, but wonderful mentoring from the expert rehabbers here, I've found I like using a horsehair blend brush (I happen to have a one from my dad's old shoeshine box!) and sometimes follow it up with a soft cloth.
I'm still experimenting with how to apply Leather CPR. Currently I like using a little soft sponge. I pretty much follow the instructions on the bottle--they say not to use a cloth. I've even used my fingers. You can really work it into the leather that way.

Hi rehabbers,
I've finished my saddle pouch (which I thought was British Tan but now I'm not so sure; posted query over on Authenticate thread) and after all my anxiousness about it I'm really pleased with the results!
Even though it lost that stiff glossiness from when I bought it, it really looks better now because it is obviously cleaner and the leather is softer and much more even-toned.
I'll post some before and after pictures below.
Thanks everyone for your help! This is my fourth bag and I'm quite addicted. :D

The first three are before pics. It wasn't in terrible shape.
The second three are the after pics. (I don't know how to comment in-between photo uploads.)

I've had one of these for a few years and never really carried it. I took it with me on my last little trip and fell in love with it. Great little bag. Yours came out great!

It looks wonderful!!

I've found some feminine products (ew!) and bobby pins. I've found a few pennies and dimes. Once I bought a bag on ebay and had it shipped directly to my daughter. There was a Hello Kitty Betsey Johnson cosmetic case inside. Too bad my daughter wasn't impressed - apparently these are collector's items.

'Ew' is right for those feminine products : P

The BJ hello kitty case is great!! I hope your daughter saved it!!
