I found it on PM. Paid more than I wanted to pay but it hardly comes by on the market! I waited so long so I gave in! Literally just got it in the mail right now! View attachment 4012866

That is gorgeous! [emoji7][emoji7] It's in good shape too, which makes it even more rare for red!

I paid more than I wanted for my red Rambler, but I knew that the regret would sting way more than the empty wallet. When the right one comes along, you just gotta...

I've had my eye on this for several days and was going to bid on it, but I just looked closely at the ends of the strap. Yikes!
I saw this listing earlier. I was looking so hard to check out the rivet situation, I totally missed the strap. Yikes is right
Since I already have a Brit shoulder sac, I cannot explain why I was looking so closely at this bag. Well, not close enough. Good catch!

Wow! Looks brand new! I need to haunt my local Goodwills....
My local GWs do not have much in the way of Coach. There are a few an hour away that have a random bag here and there. Last week one had a pretty worn brown Court for $20. My area sends the good stuff to online GW. I have pickec up a few at independent thrift shops.
Two weeks ago I picked up Metropolitan brief rehab special and a NQV red lunch tote at a flea market. I would like to go back. However, I will hold off until after I go to FL in two weeks to visit my mother. Last year I scored a Ranch, Shoulder sac and Monterey hobo in the local GW, all in very good shape. I am really hoping for something in a lighter or brighter color from the late '90s or early '00s!

Thanks. I had my heart set on this one because the BT Shoulder Sac I got a few weeks ago turned out to have serious ink stains inside. I couldn't risk dunking it. I cleaned it up as best I could and resold it.

Oh well, there's another one out there for me somewhere. It's hard not to keep looking, even though I have more than enough bags already.

@Lake Effect @whateve

Just a few pictures of my rehab of my navy Court bag in progress. Of course I was shocked to see the water (sudsy bath in the sink) turn black...would that be a combination of dirt and the colour?

I’m using Leather CPR for the first time and it works a treat. What a lovely finish and sheen. My bag is just soaking it all in. When I’m using my sponge, more dirt/colour is coming off. It’s kind of slowed down now after two applications. But this bag is filthy! Either that or it’s losing all of its colour. I’m horrified as I’ve been carrying it for the past three months as my weekend bag. :wtf: Ewww....

I see my bag is more worn at the handle than I would have preferred. I didn’t notice it in the eBay photos but perhaps I wasn’t looking as carefully as I should have been. No
Matter. I love this style so much.

Last question: this is at two coats of Leather CPR. Would you recommend a third? Thank you!
Thank you for sharing progress! It looks great. I look forward to finding an old Coach to rehab someday; so it's really helpful and fun to see what can be done.

I *finallyyyyy* have all of my rehabs done except for two turnlock replacements (waiting on those from Coach).

I have a red one that I have had in the pile for what seems like forever and like someone posted above, I’ve finally concluded the stains are not coming out and can’t be concealed with paint so I’m trying Coach stickers and some other jazzy components. Will share as soon as it’s completed. I’m still waiting on some additional pieces (NOT purses) from eBay to come in.

I’m very proud of myself as I’ve been picky about what I’ve been buying this year. I used to buy just to buy...whyyyy? Each week, I’ve also been selling off some bags that I really don’t enjoy-thinning the herd. It’s actually a relief!

Good morning! I am getting caught up with all the posts I've missed on this thread since work was crazy this week. I need to get my rehab fix (but not that $210 station bag, that's crazy). I am only down to 2 in my pile. My husband said, "that's a good thing, right?", and I just stared at him. So, I am taking my 7 year old out with me today to see if I can find some deals. I also finished my camel Bleecker.
That looks so nice!

Is there a charge for replacement turnlocks or do you just call and tell them you need them?

It's great to see I'm not the only one addicted to browsing. Lol!

I did so great in January! I didn't buy a single bag. Then came out the new stuff and PCE started and I bought 3 bags. I am not buying vintage anymore to rehab as I am still no where near finishing the rehab pile I have. The last few vintage bags I bought are mine to keep. The last vintage purchases are a red flight bag (Omg [emoji7]) and a mint green Madison Sutton satchel. Both in great condition!
I can't wait to see those!

I've emailed them ([email protected]) but I suppose calling would work too. I requested one over a month ago and haven't received it. I called and they said the turnlock kits are back ordered and she didn't know when they would be getting them. In the past they've always arrived within a week or so. I don't ask for more than two a year, if that.

I completely understand!

I hope you get them soon so you can finish your rehabs! :)

I totally relate. I was hot to buy anything vintage and cheap and larger than a City bag, for the most part. I am happy to say I am settling into what I like and can use for the most part daily. And I am determining what are the types of rehabs I like to do. I think one of the surprises for me, when I started to look for rehab bags, was the fact there are bags out there that need little or no rehab. And I lucked into a few rather cheaply. I am now developing a little patience for harder to find colors and styles.
