Coach registration

Back in the 70's and 80's you used to have to fill in the card and send it in the mail if you wanted to register- it put you on the mailing lists. Now, its not necessary anymore. I still register mine on the website though- just out of tradition I guess.

I have been buying Coach bags for almost 4 years and I have never registered any of my bags. I don't think that there was registration cards in any of my bags...I may have just overlooked them though, LOL!:p

When you purchase through the boutique, online or outlet, you are automatically "registered".
Aha...so that's why they always verify my name, address, and phone number in their computer system every time I make a purchase!

I haven't bought a bag that contained a registration card since 2005....

I remember registering my first two bags when I was 19. I thought it was "cool" to register it. Stopped after that...starting thinking it was stupid and had no point.

The only thing that registering does is get you on their mailing list AND on any lists they decide to share with other companies. Whether or not you ever registered a bag has absolutely no effect on their warranty coverage, which is for "the expected life of the item", not for any set time. And Coach can define the expected life of a bag any way they choose.

"Coach products are made to ensure satisfaction and service for the natural life of the product. If, during its lifetime, your item should require repair, we offer a repair service for many of our products. There is a shipping and handling charge of $20 (plus tax, where applicable) for each item submitted for repair..."

I don't think their website even has a link for registering bags any more. At least I can't find one.

Last I knew, no more registering your bags after the new site went live...not sure there was really ever a point to it. But, whenever I purchased a new bag I liked to do it as part of the "ritual," hehe.
