I've had several issues with COACH bags recently. My Duffle (MFF) bag had a fraying issue after only a few weeks. My new MIA Signature Lurex in silver stitching has fallen apart after only four weeks.

What is wrong with COACH? I'm currently boycotting all COACH products. Very disappointed with COACH right now.

I have noticed this some time ago, and have quit buying Coach. Last bags I bought were in 2007, and those are fine. I still go in to the outlet once in a blue moon to look, but I have not felt the urge. Well, I am on a bag ban LOL. But regardless, I don't trust their quality anymore either.

I'm so glad you noticed the same thing. It is very disappointing. At least, COACH accepted my returns for both items.

My DH bought me the Pop C Jazzy for my birthday in July and I used it maybe 2 weeks before the inside mult-function pockets came unstitched. I don't even use those pockets so I am not sure how it happened.

I brought it into our boutique this weekend and they overnighted me a new replacement, so I'm good, but still this is the second bag I have had to take in for stitching issues in the last 3 months. And never had to bring a bag in for repair ever before in the last 6 years since I started using Coach bags. :-s

You have a fabulous COACH collection. For the most part, I didn't have any quality issues until recently. I only started buying COACH bags since summer of 2008. I only had Fendi, Gucci, Prada and Louis Vuitton in the past. Those brands never gave me any problem at all.

The quality has definitely gone downhill, just like lots of other companies. When someone has to go through 8 bags at the FP store to find a perfect one to buy, there is a problem. Thank goodness they are willing to take them back, or I'd be much more leary. TPF is great for bringing issues with certain bags up, so we know what to watch for with different styles.

I have a MFF duffle too, where did yours fray?

There were two spots. One was located by the zipper and the other one was located in the bottom. Duffle was made a lot like Carly. I had the same issue with Carly fraying two years ago.

It was a good thing they accepted your returns. That must be frustrasting...

Wow seriously? I thought they had that issue taken care of that after the Carly fiasco. Once I understand, but twice is a bit ridiculous.. I hope this was an isolated incident.. sorry it happened to yours!

I agree. I had to send back my gunmetal alexandra for peeling issues and I had to exchange my purple sophia for the thread was coming out at the top. The SA had the nerve to say it looks like it has been cut like I would do that.

Omg how rude for her to say that!! I hope you said something. My girlfriend had to return a never used gunmetal maggie with cracks, and I had to return a large sig Kristin hobo (also never used) with a seam splitting. It's definitely worth it to check it out before they wrap it up, even if you have to look at several.

It definitely sounds like COACH has quality issues right now. I remember having several issues with Signature Jacquard fabric items such as handbag and wallets prior to recent quality issues. Sadly to say, those items were all from factory stores and FP stores.
