I have to say Maggie and Ashley were regrets. Maggie feels too wide on my body, I returned her immediately. Ashley was a gift, and while I loved her look, she was a PITA to get in and out of, plus she looked funny to me as a shoulder bag. I sold her to help fund my Laila.

I was looking for the regular acorn Lindsey and the SA showed me this one. They were surprised that I didn't want it. The leather looked stiff.

The person who was told, "Your grandma would love that bag!" To me, a lot of the embroidered and "lace" type bags look grandma-ish. It's a fine line.

I have a black Mia Maggie and I love it. I put a lot in it so maybe that holds the straps down on my shoulder better. A strap does fall off once in awhile but it doesn't drive me crazy.

Well I am a Grandma and I don't like it!

I think that if you're wearing a monotone outfit, you could get away with the embroidery/lace type bag. If you have any other lace or pattern on your body, consider yourself grandmafied!

Gramafied! LOL! My husband is always quick to point out anything at may be seen as a gramma style!

I love the hippies lol. I seriously think I am the ONLY one on this site that does lol. I don't zip my bags closed usually and I really don't carry a lot so they work great for me. I have 3 right now!

<snip>

No, you're not alone in that. I have a couple (denim whipstitch and legacy stripe) and I really like them. True, they don't have much depth, so you have to trip down what you carry in them, but they are great walking around bags. :smile1:

Now, as for regrets... I don't have many. There was a large gunmetal signature Brooke that I re-homed because it was just too big, and a couple of Hamptons clip hobos that I consigned because I don't like bags that are smaller at the top than the bottom.

Lol. Ya when my mom said that to me she wasn't saying "this bag is a grandma looking bag" she was moreso saying "your grandmother has that same style of bag in every color and she would run u over to own that!" Lol

My linen kristin. I wanted a spectator hobo but my outlet just sold the last one. I thought id be happy with any kristin but this one has just sat on the shelf after 2 uses. Wish i didnt cut the tag.

I regret buying my ultraviolet duffle - love the color but it is too small. And hard to get into. Glad I didn't buy the Anna Sui duffles although I love to look at them.
Is the ultraviolet the regular size duffle? The Anna Sui duffles are the same size as the large duffles. IMO, they are huge.

sadly mine was a black xl croc sophia. I am 5ft so big bags usually dont do so well it was an impulse buy decent deal and I never used it it was too heavy for me the croc (may need to be worn in) was too hard and plasticy the handles round and I didnt like how it felt being held as a satchel and I couldn't carry with the strap it was almost to my knees. I finally sent her away pretty but not for me
