I am looking for the web address for finding stock photos from the Coach archives.
There was the web address then after the / your would put the 5 digit style number and the stock photo would show.
Anybody have this info pretty please?

I don't think it works anymore.
Thank you so much for the answer.
If anyone should happen to find a link for these stock photos that works please post about it.
I'm sure there are others who could use this info as I am selling off part of my Og collection on Poshmark. Stock photos are priceless!

You're thinking of the drilldown and as @whateve said, it's no longer working.

You can try the Wayback Machine but you have to have an idea of when an item was made. Not all items are there and even if you find it, it's not always openable.

As for stock photos, I'll speak only for myself but I suspect others feel similarly.

I don't recommend using them as stock images are the copyrighted intellectual property belonging to the rights owner, in this case, Coach. They paid big bucks for professional photographers and writers to take pictures and write catalog descriptions. That material is available only for helping potential buyers/clients in knowing what they're getting. It's NOT available for online sellers to use.

And in fact, Coach's website specifically states on their Terms of Use page:
"Coach owns www.coach.com ("the Site"). Coach owns or has rights to all of the wallpaper, icons, characters, artwork, images, graphics, music, text, software and other content of the Site.

snip

The Site is available only for your personal use, which shall be limited to viewing the Site, providing information to the Site, downloading product information for your personal review and for the purchase of products."

Additionally, for you as a seller of highly faked items, it's important that you show actual pictures of your items for buyers to know that you have the item available and so they can verify authenticity.

We can't authenticate items/listings that have stock photos.

One of our vintage experts asked if the early Coach catalogs could be copied and archived here, so I'm going to try and post a 1981 catalog plus any items in the 1983 catalog that didn't appear in the earlier one.

PLEASE DON'T USE THESE IMAGES AS PART OF ANY AUCTION OR LISTING ON ANY SELLING SITE. These images are the property of Coach and usage is covered by US and international trademark and copyright laws, which forbids their use without Coach's express permission. They are posted here for reference ONLY.

Any recommendations on storing bags?? My Coach bag count is at 25 plus 18 wallets, wristlets, clutches & cosmetic bags. The bags are a mix of vintage & 2000s or newer canvas, leather & sateen. I live in a high humidity climate with super cold winters (I’m from New England) so protection from mold & mildew is a priority. I was thinking vacuum bags with a couple dryer sheets to combat smell & stuffing the bags with paper. I’m not sure that’s the best choice though. Any ideas??

You should probably ask in the main Coach forum. This thread doesn't get a lot of traffic, the last post before yours was more than a year ago. Always check the date and title of any thread you're thinking of adding to for a current date and the appropriate subject matter.

Searching for "Coach storage advice" brought up some posts but only a few look as if they're relevant to your question.

I've been reading throgh this forum all day. Many, many broken links (I get that, I've been going from beginning to end and it covers many years) but not theone I am trying to find. I know that there is no longer a drill down but is there a database on this site that lists the serial numbers and names?

For instance, I'm looking at a f43-9620 and I'd like to know what it's supposed to look like, etc. just to make sure it's real.

Is there somewhere here that I just haven't found?

BTW when I put the number in search nothing comes up under Coach - but apparently there is an Hermes scarf :)

Thank you!

Couple of comments:

1. Rather than starting at the beginning, start at the end and go backwards. There's enough info that's repeated and there's less apt to be as many broken links.

2. You're correct that the drilldown is no more.

3. There's no database of serials numbers, partly because there would be so many that it's impossible to get them all but more important is that a serial number can NEVER prove an item as authentic. Just because a bag (or other item) seems to have a "correct" style number that seems to "match" the item it's on doesn't mean that the item is authentic.

For bags made later than 1993 (1994 and later) with exceptions between 2014 and 2016, it's not the full serial number but the suffix (second 1/2 of serial number) that would indicate the style on an AUTHENTIC item.

If you want to verify authenticity, better than googling or trusting yourself to self-authentication, you can post pictures on the Authenticate This COACH - **see first post for format** thread. Be sure to read the post at the top of each page and/or post 1 on the first page of the thread to make sure you have all the info we need.

Again, a serial number or correct style number cannot prove an item as authentic although it can prove an item as fake.
