Thank you for trying to help.
There is some "engraving" on the clip, so small that even with magnifying glass I can not read it, so perhaps is not even writing but just marks.

I bought it for the hang tag and I was going to sell the tassel as I am not going to use it, but I needed to be sure, so when I asked the ladies of the authenticating thread, I was told that was real but perhaps a promotional item.

I know the hang tag is real Coach, the box is also real Coach made in 2016, so the item/items had to be sold on 2016 or 2017..?
I can read Chalk so it is the color of the items, and JAX. Could it be an Outlet gift set?

I have searched in all the places I could think of. I have found tassels like it made by Michael Kors, but the cap is engraved and are all in silver, no matter the color. I also found one exactly the same by Victoria Secret, but the rest (clip, ring) were different.

I am starting to believe there was something also that size on the gift set, that was swapped by the "generic" tassel, although not even with China made, I could find one like it on Ebay or Goggle.
That's what I was thinking too, that that is kind of a 'put together' item. The charms and keychains that were sold and the ones that were freebies, didn't come with leather hang tags like you find on hand bags. BUT, if it was a charm set that came off of a hand bag, then the leather hang tag would make sense. Also, is that some kind of key ring attached to it? If so, it doesn't look like the style Coach has pretty much always used for their keychains. If that's the case, I'd venture to say that the hang tag is the only piece I would say for certainty that is Coach. The tassel could be Coach, but I find it questionable.

That green and pink box I know came from Macy’s. I know this because I recently reorganized my charms and actually threw that box out (just taking up too much room). Now as to what it originally held.... it was either a flower fob, a bee, or rocket fob BUT definitely not any type of tassel, I may be wrong but thought I’ll share what I had, maybe it’ll trigger someone else’s memory.

Yes the key ring... same as the clip seems to be different in shape and quality of those normally seen on other real Coach.

Thank you so much ladies, we are making progress...
One key detail that I just realized is not showing in the picture, is the price on the sticker (if it's the sticker that belonged to the box?), it says $49.
It could really be a promotional item that Coach did for Macy's, but the price seems low to come with the box, may be those pom poms that came in different colors?

A couple years ago Nordstrom Rack got a bunch of charms in, and some of the more "basic" ones came in those pink & green boxes too. So maybe it's more of a department store box rather than exclusively Macy's. In any case, I visited multiple NRacks when those fobs came in and didn't see that specific type of tassel... how mysterious! :confused1:

Thank you for the added info. I guess the mystery is that is not a Coach tassel, LOL

Hello ladies,

Maybe someone here can help me to identify this. I already had it authenticated but no other info was available, only the guess that perhaps was a promotional item.
I have no knowledge whatsoever about key rings and charms, I bought this one for the hang tag, that matches perfectly one I lost.
I guess it could be from 2016 or 2017? Made for Factory?
Any input will be greatly appreciated.

So here's a similar one from Macy's. It doesn't list a style number but I'm thinking the one you have might have been altered like others suggested?

No way. It's way too different to be an altered one. The studs are different, hardware is different and even the leather is different.

Thank you for trying to help posting the tassel picture, but no... there are too many differences.
I am OK with it, I didn't pay much. I can sell the tassel as "unbranded", use the box for something else (disclosing is not the original box), and I will use the hang tag, so all good.

Is he super rare? I just found another on Mercari for a whopping $300!
It's pretty rare. I remember seeing one listed for a long time that the seller never accepted my offer. Then I lost an auction. It was probably 6 months before I found another in my price range. At that point, I didn't want to pay more than the auction price.

OMG!!! Holy cow! I paid $30.74!! I can't believe my luck! 90% off the current listing price! Woo hoo! :panic::yahoo:

They can be had now for for as low as $15 and as high as $60, with the average price at $30 - $40. Nothing like a while back, remember when $60 was a super sale price?
