No I didn't get the ox. Someone else bought it when I was buying the phone. I didn't even see it listed. I saw it later in her completed listings. It was in bad shape but I was thinking that if I had gotten it, I would try to touch it up with metallic paint.

I don't know. The way the leather pieces fit together reminds me of this fob: http://www.ebay.com/itm/261896615050?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT but it looks like it should have some eyes, and I can't think of a fob that has the Coach lozenge and Made in China stamped so prominently into the leather. Maybe it was a no-name fob and someone stamped that on it in order to make it "valuable." The listing ended so maybe someone told the seller it was fake.

Have you seen the recent penguin? it looks amateurish too!

Drats! I wish I would have saved the photo. I'd like to look at it again. As I recall, it was similar to the bulldog you referenced but it had virtually no details. I remember thinking it didn't look done. The bulldog is adorable and you're right, the leather was very similarly pieced together.

The recent penguin's not really mu cup of tea. I bought the elephant the last time there was an outlet coupon just to get my total up to the 25% level. I don't love it either but it was free!

I'm kicking myself for not getting the jeweled penguin from our friend in Japan. It was a steal at only $40!
