I wasn't going to respond on this topic anymore or derail this thread further but some of the things you guys posted just shocked me, and I feel that I should acknowledge them.

To me the fact some people bash Coach does not "justify" lowering to that level to bash "their" brands.

Just because everyone is entitled to their opinion doesn't mean it's always appropriate to share in unfiltered terms. If you aren't willing to randomly walk up to women carrying LV and tell them their bag looks cheap and tacky, I'd refrain from doing it here.

Some are sensitive to criticisms of their choices and I think we could all benefit of being more mindful of how we make other people feel.

Agreed! I find it telling when people post rude things and then wonder why people are offended or respond in kind.

Self awareness is an important attribute, more people should strive to be more aware of how their words and actions are perceived by others.

You're talking about self-awareness and hurting people's feelings but you're taking the side of the person who took my 3 line opinion and then used it to personally attack me. Not my opinion....but me. Calling me harsh and mean names and suggesting that if I state such opinions I won't have any friends on the forum. She continued to attack me for no good reason because of what? I was harsh to a beloved brand?

Say what you want about my blunt opinions or overly honest replies, but I have NEVER taken the time to post something cruel to another person and have NEVER resorted to ad hominem attacks against another member. If you're all going to lecture me on considering feelings when saying something negative about a luxury brand then please consider other people's feelings when you're going to insult them because they say something negative about your purse.

I don't (I still love my micro bags even with the comments here), but I do get bothered at people's callous disregard for other people's emotions. I firmly believe we could all do a bit better with a bit more kindness.

I think kindness should be spread where and whenever we can.

I would like to state the frivolity of the forums is why I come here. Conversation on shared passions with healthy respect towards others. We all face our "real" lives, with their harsh truths and criticisms, I don't see why we should face it here.

I'm sorry; I didn't mean my post to be insulting. I didn't like the other posts for what it's worth. In my desire to be mindful and kind, I overlooked that you'd feel ganged up on and that was poor judgement on my part.

Those satchels and the whole collection is currently scheduled to go live on September 1st. I asked about this satchel for you and they said the two charms come with all the satchels (which you probably knew) and the third one is probably an additional charm you can buy but the SA couldn't find a style number or confirm that these would be available for purchase. They work so well on these satchels though, I hope they're available.

Wait a min. The poster wrote, I dont like 90% of LV bags. That is it. I would sit in a group of friends and say that and say, I Understand others do. There is nothing wrong with that statement.

You all are blowing this out of propotion.

I don't see how using exact verbiage from their post is blowing it out of proportion. The poster wrote, "Frankly, they look cheap and tacky..." and that they find them "...pretty ugly 90% of the time..." if you look at the message. Very different tone than simply stating they dislike them.

It IS very different, but somehow that's been completely overlooked and those of us that have commented on the original message are being reduced down to overblowing things out of proportion.

My original message to the poster and everything that followed has been so mangled and distorted from my first message to her, that it's been 'lost in translation', for lack of a better expression. Now, it seems to me, it has snowballed into a big debacle, with tPF members taking sides.

I need to bow out at this point, so that I can continue enjoying tPF, moving forward.

Anyone know anything more about Rogue 17s? An SA told me they wouldn't be released in further colors. I love the size and it fits my phone, mini wallet, charger - basically all my essentials and the price really isn't all that bad! But the only colors available are black and melon. I don't buy black bags and melon to me is NICE, but I generally like to hold out for a color I LOVE. So anyone know if the Rogue 17 really is limited to this season? Or any other thoughts on the bag?

Well, I love Coach and I love LV. I don't like when people on tPF bash Coach, but I also don't like when people bash LV. Or any other brand, whether I own it or like it or not. MK often gets the worst of it on tPF. I know it bothers a lot in the MK forum who genuinely adore their bags. To me the fact some people bash Coach does not "justify" lowering to that level to bash "their" brands.

There are ways to say a brand is not YOUR personal taste without basically saying "eeewww...canvas" or calling it "cheap and tacky". Because no matter whether you genuinely believe you are talking only about a bag, people who feel fondly of their bags and brand - and often spend for them what is decent money, save up, consider their purchases, may have sentimental ties to a bag or brand - are not going to see it that way.

As for myself, yes Coach 1941 is to me great quality, especially for the price. Wonderful leather, suede linings, great detail. Adore my Rogues! But I am also in a new LVoe affair with my (two!) new Pochette Metis (also adored my old Speedy, now my sister's, and my Speedy B). They are amazing, and I don't care they are canvas - that is in my eyes is a plus as there are advantages to canvas, and LV does canvas in a way only LV can after 163 years of doing it. And clearly others agree as LV holds its value incredibly well - you can often resell for the same price you purchased (LV never goes on sale). Something that sadly can't be said of Coach, despite the great quality of the Coach 1941 line in my view.

I mean Stuart Vevers worked at LV with Marc Jacobs, the companies in the handbag and luxury world is not as "separate" as sometimes it seems people treat them on tPF.

Oh, I thought that might be a key case, but it makes more sense as a card case.
