Question: I am eyeing some clothes from the Fall collection, and I was wondering if anyone knows if Coach runs, small, large, or TTS?

Hey Daisy, I love Coach clothes too and just got a coat from Spring and ordered a dress from pre-fall, maybe I can help with sizing. For reference, I'm somewhat tall (5'8'') and usually wear 0/2/XS/26(jeans) in most higher end brands, so just adjust for your own sizing; for Coach I've found the following:

1) Leather jackets: Size up because 0 is usually too small in the chest and may be short all around. If you're shorter or more flat chested you might find they run TTS unless you like a looser fit. I recommend sizing up in leather jackets.
2) Coats: I have tried on several Coach 1941 coats and I find that I also would size up in those. 2 fits better because it's longer (in sleeve length and overall). My most recent coach was an S, they actually didn't have XS to compare, but the S sleeves are just long enough where I think XS would make me look like I'm wearing children's clothing.
3) Trench Coats: The short coats (just below the butt not quite to the knee) I also have length problems so I'd size up in those. The longer trench coats though I'd say run TTS or even a little bigger.
4) Dresses / Skirts: TTS, but really depends on the type. For example, a silk dress I would size 2 because silk is meant to be flowy and not necessarily 'fitted' in my opinion. A more rigid dress, particularly ones meant to be fitted at the waist I'd say get the size at the lower end of your range. But again depends on whether you're wider in the waist or hips or bust - dresses can be hard to fit perfectly.
5) Blouses: TTS, but some of the very fitted ones can be small in the chest area. I have a 2 in the bunny long sleeve blouse and it's comfortably loose. Depends on your preferences.
6) Shoes: TTS and similar to Stuart Weitzman

TLDR; if you're tall you might have to size up in certain items for length. Most things run TTS and nothing is outrageously abnormal about Coach, I find they keep with the RTW sizing and standards.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have more questions. I can report back on the dress fit more when my new one gets here.

I second all of this. In addition, Coach 1941 outerwear is mostly designed with "bracelet sleeves," which means that the sleeves are cut a little shorter so as to show off arm candy on the wrist. Also, I know that many of the RTW consumers are Asian, and these sleeves tend to fit that clientele normally; whereas a traditional American sleeve length may run a little long on them.

That's a very good point. I really dislike short sleeves because my arms are proportionally long to my height and I don't like looking like a woman in children's clothing so I have to size up to avoid it, it's actually a little annoying. Tailoring sleeve length is much easier and more feasible when the sleeves are too long rather than too short :frown: I mean no one wants a 3/4 sleeve length faux fur coat that hits at the knee, right? I think the 00 size is also aimed at the Asian clientele. I'm all for wide range of sizes and styles but Coach needs to cut out that sleeve strategy imo, especially since other designers don't do that and Coach is supposed to be American.

Thanks this all really helps

HI
Everything I've seen has ran pretty TTS. What pieces are you looking at?
I think I got my answer. I was looking at the Rexy/stagecoach sweatshirt, but I like my sweatshirts oversized, so I'm thinking not a go. Also, looking at coats, but prefer to try those on as I would normally purchase coats in the petite dept. and Coach just has regular.

If you're petite you might find the coats fit you better than comparable sizes from other brands (due to length issues i mentioned before). The rexy stagecoach sweatshirt is nice but I think because of its bottom portion (with the elastic) it may be hard to get the oversized look because the middle and sleeves may be baggy but then it'll get cinched at the bottom

I love that sweatshirt too, but just don't think I can bring myself to spend $250 on one, especially as it's poly/cotton blend! But if it ends up going on sale...

Oh, just checked the website and see they only have XS and S left...won't be in the cards for me this year - phew!

SAKS has it available for preorder in all sizes as of this morning

Seems like most of the RTW stuff ends up at the outlets if you are willing to wait for a year. Every style # I call about they say is either at an outlet or at one of the warehouses. When it's 40% + 50% + 10% off retail it's worth the wait and the shipping charge, in my opinion. There are definitely some items that are limited though and may be impossible to track down later.

I don't have one, but there's a bit too much going on with that bag for me. I think it could look good for some people but it's one of those items I think destined for the sale. I could be wrong of course
Does it look like a bag that could be carried in all 4 seasons?

Well, personally, I'm a believer that any bag can be carried in any season (except some beach specific or rain-proof stuff I suppose). That's because I think bags should go with shoes and clothes and mood rather than the seasons. If you need a flowery bag in mid of winter to cheer you up or you want to wear a big black rogue on a hot summer day because you're also wearing crazy colors and need to balance them out, I think that trumps the whole 'this is a summer/winter bag' idea.
