My opinion on large bags (please no one get offended, I get some people love giant bags for all the reasons I will say I hate them, and that's the beauty of having many different tastes on this forum).

I'm 5'8'' and I still don't like large bags, which isn't surprising because in my view the very large purses don't even look good on the 5'10'' models. For work stuff, or carrying a lot of extra things and papers, I like tote (or a backpack if more casual) I understand totes because they're really convenient and functional. You can set a tote down and not lug it around everywhere all day too. In fact, large bags are also really bad for your shoulders, neck and back - even if you don't have problems in those areas right now.

One of my friends love giant purses, all of her handbags just look like bags to me, and they're not cheap either. She usually puts everything in the giant bag and then lugs it around all day which is really terrible for her shoulders and back. She can't ever find anything inside her bag and when she sets it down people joke about how she has bricks in there. One time we were joking around and I said 'there's definitely stuff in there you do not need to carry with you at all times' so we went through her whole bag together to see what's in there. I don't know how she justified half the heavy stuff she was carrying. Other times, if she's on a day off she brings her giant handbag to brunch or while knowing she has to walk long distances and only takes a few things (phone, wallet etc) but then her bag is 70% empty and just looks sad and baggy. I just don't get giant handbags because they just look ridiculous to me; like trying to carry a suitcase on your shoulder and it overpowers everything else including you spine.

I hate fabric straps on a leather bag :annoyed: and have never understood why they do that to men's bags either. Men like nice leather straps too.....and as you said, women use them too.

I agree, soooo many are misinformed or get the information confused.
I cut the fabric strap off my leather Poppy Spotlight. It didn't go with the elegance of the bag. It was like the designers thought "this bag looks too nice. Let's make it look cheaper by adding a cheap strap."

I'm not especially petite, 5' 4", but large bags make me look like a little kid trying on her mother's purse. Tiny bags look ridiculous on me too.

Yeah tiny bags are just as bad as oversized ones to me haha. Something doesn't seem to scale if I try on a tiny bag. Also nothing fits so I guess it's just a not-very-functional accessory, which I can kind of understand. A wristlet or a clutch would be my preferred alternative to tiny bags with straps or handles.

Yeah, I thought it sounded very odd. Maybe there will be limited numbers on the actual runway models and then they'll come out with other colors in greater numbers - ? Who knows? And I don't like not being able to see and touch one before buying, but she assured me I could return if I didn't like it!
Now you could be onto something.....the 'shop the runway' items are always in limited numbers.

It should be in stores and online on this Friday, the 4th!

And that tote in particular has multiple posts in this thread. I know that someone had called CS to pre-order, and quantities are limited. There are under 60 in each color being made, allegedly.

If you call the right store and ask to order the item they can get the "Rexy and carriage" tote for you now. There is also an embroidered t shirt that is crazy cute! I was able to order the tee!

QUOTE="okdot, post: 31559318, member: 619418"]Rogue 39? Why don't they just call it for what it is: the Rogue Suitcase  Just needs some wheels...maybe that's coming up next season[/QUOTE]
I don't understand why Coach is already discontinuing the Rogue 36 (not that I own one), a bag that many women seemed to like and have purchased. Part of Coach's redundant history, I guess. Similar to New England's weather. Wait five minutes and things may change!! Regarding the Rogue 39, and possibly a 45: If I want a suitcase, I'll just go to a luggage store!! :amazed:

What are the color codes?

I like the style, but I have a hard time finding a use for it. What are you planning to do with it @foxgal?

I wasn't able to see very clear details of the little pouches as the SA could only show me from the look book online. I'm hoping the chain strap will be removable so I can just use the coin pouch by itself or maybe turn it into a bag charm!

I've been thinking all along that it'd be a cool bag charm on my larger bags, (from the runway pics it looked doable), but if the chain strap is not removable, maybe not so much...at least it's only a SLG decision, whew! :giggle:

Exactly! Plus I spend a lot of time in Mexico where all I need to carry with me is some pesos so this will work great!

Just called my SA: (Re: the tiny bag charm size kisslock)

22998 is the cherries print in chalk color and can be ordered tomorrow. (8/1)
23195 is the duck print on black and not available till September.

Her Coach look book does not give dimensions! Sheeeesh, Coach!
AND she also cannot tell if the tiny strap is detachable....I can't believe Coach even keeps SA's clueless!!
Is this some kind of Power Trip for Coach?? They don't want my money??
:cursing:
