I went into today thinking that I was going to buy something--and nothing wowed me. Plus, I have to return the Page. I ordered it sight unseen and haven't received it yet--it's going right back!

What don't you like with the Page? I am wondering if I just have not seen it in a color that says Wow. My store does not get much of anything.

Two things turned me off: 1) the leather wasn't what I had hoped--it was more matte/flat than I had hoped; 2) the gold plating on the front is too bright and shiny.

I have been looking for a simple black, conservative shoulder bag for work. I thought this fit the bill, but the gold plating is a bit much.:smile1:

I liked the size and shape when I saw the floral but it just didn't translate for me.

Oh well, my search continues. ;)

Yes I thought the Gramercy was heavy too. Pretty bags though

Correct the regular size. Yeah maybe the original Boroughs, trying to think of what else....but I put it right down without even seeing how it looked being carried in the mirror. Heavy is almost always a deal breaker for me. I know this only confuses things but sometimes I find bags heavy that others to not. For example I think the Dooney Florentine satchel weighs a ton yet it is a hugely popular style


And the bag in my avatar, I love it but passed on it as I found it slightly heavy for what I wanted. I wanted a black bag with some pop that I could carry frequently. This would not be a bag I would carry daily due to the weight. Therefore I cannot justify the price. For bags I know I will carry infrequently I try to get at outlet prices.

Thanks melissatrv. :smile1: I agree the grommet borough was a bit heavy. It's one of the reasons I returned mine and exchanged it for one of my Dakotahs. :cool:

I'm wondering, does anyone know if the floral accessories are a fp store only thing or of any of the dept stores have them? Macy's etc? I really want the floral cosmetic case but want to get it somewhere that I can get a discount from.

I really want to be able to look at the croc mini Gramercy, the leather mini Gramercy, hopefully in red currant, the large Ranger in red currant, and the small Dakotah in whatever colors it comes in - all at the same time so I can figure out which ones I want. I don't want to commit to buy one item in red currant without seeing them all, only to find that another style I like only comes in red currant while the style I got comes in another color I also like. For example, I might get the croc mini Gramercy if I also like the red currant Ranger so I won't have two bags in the same color. It is difficult to decide when they don't release all the colors at the same time. Sorry for rambling! :nuts:
