I agree, but really...how many ways are there to open a turnlock? Turnlocks themselves are not new, they've been around forever with almost every brand. I guess you could say that every designer that uses turnlocks that turn to open have copied those that came before...

I'm referring to the hinged turnlock--which I've never seen on a Coach bag but have seen on Mulberry. :smile1:

Oh I see! I used to see similarities between Reed Krakoff bags from his own line vs Coach bags he was still designing. What comes to mind is the Atlantique overall shape vs Candace carryall - although everyone and their dog has produced a bag shaped similarly :D

Yeah, when Reed was managing both his own line and Coach there were a lot of similarities between bags. Those days should be gone now that RK is a completely separate brand. :smile1:

I still pop into the RK shop at SaksB&M whenever I am in the area and follow his brand online. I'm excited to see what he does now that he is on his own with full creative control.

Oh I know, and I wasn't trying to be snarky...I'm just trying to think of how many "original" ways of opening a turnlock are out there, undiscovered. Didn't he come from Mulberry...that might have been his design in the first place.

No worries--I didn't take it as snarky. :p

He did come from Mulberry, but I would like to see him bring some originality to Coach. Something new and refreshing that's all.

I hope he has more in his bag of design tricks than what he's done at Mulberry in the past--because if that's all he's got, then he is a one-trick pony. :p

The first to use turnlocks was Coach so you can say that everyone is copying Coach.

How well do Coach sequin bags hold up? DD is trying to decide between this one and the camo Rhyder. I worry the sequins would snag or fall off.
