Are there straps underneath the bag to loop the long strap through to keep it in place or is it just hanging underneath the bag?

LOVE this! Between you showing this pic and kath00 showing the doubled strap, you two have totally convinced me to keep Rory :)

There are no straps to hold it in place. It hangs there. I am going to try it with my Rory and see how long the "hanging part" is if I put it in the innermost holes...

OMG I was just in the Flatiron (lower Fifth Avenue) store in NYC. I asked what (I now know to be called) the Rambler bag was called - and the SA pulled out the tag and said "this just came in - it's an arch ram, see?" ARCH RAM. Like the arch of your foot, and a sheep! Get a clue, if you are trying to sell me your product!!! :rolleyes:

Anyway, I really love 21192 ("new LEGACY ARCHIVAL TOP ZIP SATCHEL") - does anyone know if other colors will be coming out?

OK just tried the Rory trick of putting the strap underneath the bag. Totally doesn't work. It's a good way to display a bag but once you pick it up off a table, the strap slips up. I used my Cognac Rory, which has gotten softer with time.

The strap is actually too small to do this upside down trick. Even using the last hole, it forces the corners down. That's good and looks cute when the bag is down on a surface but when you pick it up and put it on your hand or shoulder, the strap slips off the bottom and just hangs there on the side. Not helpful.

ARGH. It would have been nice if they put those holders underneath, like on the Audreys. Kath

I didn't want to discourage anyone, but the SA and I tried the "upside down strap" trick on Rory about 2 weeks ago in the FP store. I thought it looked silly with those two strap ends sticking up, not to mention the inconvenience if you decided you need to actually use the strap.

I have my Rory straps attached the regular right-side up way but kind of just curl them toward the back of the bag (like in the DD pics). After a couple of weeks it's gotten super slouchy in the upper corners, almost giving it a Lindsey look. :-) definitely worth the work to break in!!

Do you have the regular or colorblock rory?

The new color block duffles won't be delivered for this floorset. I believe they will come out with them in November just in time for the holidays. By the holiday time, we will have 20 different colors in the duffle!

Check out the customized blogger duffles on Coach website. I was ready to exchange my Sunflower for another color......but now I've decided to keep her, and just buy another. Love this one -
