I took my penny out this weekend for the first time. I used her crossbody all day Saturday outside in very humid and hot weather. We walked over 5 miles (my hubby says) and I was worried about rubbing the color off because it was so hot and humid and that was before I read about this. I checked my bag and she doesn't have any color loss. I did spray her with apple spray before I used her. I don't know if that will help or not.

If I would've read this first I wouldn't have bought the legacy items I did. Now I am scared to use her and I hate that :( getting a new bag is supposed to be fun, not another thing to worry about.

I say if you used her all day long in humid heat , your bag of probably just fine. She's been rubbing against you. From what I gather from everybody's information, its most of the bags not all of them have the problem, sound to me like you got lucky. All I have right now is of the new skinnys in black I have used it for a week now even rubbed it up against my jeans, no color loss at all. I purchased a Patricia to be here hopefully Thursday. I'm a little worried but optimistic. I agree it supposed to be completely fun. Don't worry about it and just love your bags and see what happens.

This is the best that I could capture. Im wondering if its an issue with the first lot of bags released because this one is from the first batch. My dh thinks that using some moisturizer should help so I might try that. Its sad because its a $400 bag and should be more hearty than this. I called Coach this morning and she said I need to take it to my fp store and they will send it in to them. From there they determine if its "normal" wear and tear. Thats hard to trust!!

Mine looks just like your pic. I will take pics later. How can they tell if it's normal wear & tear? Looking at it I would say someone brushed against an abrasive concrete walk or something but I know I didn't. I have babied my bag. Something I never did to bags in the past because they were always black or dark brown & nothing ever happened to them but this seems like it would happen to dark colors too.
