I am just desperately wanting to get an update about the other lines that Coach has and I would like to have heard something in the last month about the Carolines or the Madisons coming out, for example. But alas, there is nothing.......

THIS exactly. Sorry of others have been offended. But the title is Fall 2012 and some of us are waiting for the specific DD and item number updates to other lines that have been mentioned rather vaguely.

I don't think they're ugly. Just not my cup of tea. I have an older black legacy studio flap that was my first coach purchase with my own money and I adored it, still do. and when I got the Coach email with the pic of the natural Willis I gasped and HAD to have her.

It's not the Legacy thread. It's the Fall 2012 thread. I keep coming in hoping for updates on other lines.

I think a lot of tone and intention is lost of the Internet. What I intend as general chit chat about what I've seen at my local store is being taken as bitter or negative put downs--not my intent. This line is just not for me, although I did like the black multi colorblock.

I'm sorry if I've offended anyone. Truly. But I will keep coming I here because im desperate for other info, and by this point, previous years' fall (or spring) preview threads had updates from multiple lines. It's very frustrating for those of us who are waiting for info on Madison, etc.

I think the Legacy just appeals to a different style aesthetic than the more decorative bags. The slouchy bags may be boho, but the totes with the tassles seem more "Ladies who Lunch" or corporate to me. There is a more masculine feel to some of these bags. They are also fun to style with outfits because they are simple with an optional pop of color. They should do well in my area, where people are casual and low maintenance. Maybe we'll start to see more men carrying bags.

The CS rep said that the next Legacy release will be in October, so who knows what they'll be doing for the August and September floorsets.

Its been draining to hear all of the negative comments about the collection that some of us are so excited about! Particularly if some of us own some of the bags being talked about.

This is just my opinion. I get the whole being able to express yourself thing but it can be kind of deflating when your so excited about something and want to share and talk about it and there are people here dragging it down. :tdown:

I agree!!! And I'm surprised so many people dislike it after such a high demand for them to go back to the basics of what made Coach famous. I LOVE Legacy! <3

My SA told me that the next round of fall Legacy colors will be deeper and richer, more "fall" than what we've seen so far. I always prefer autumn styles/colors to spring anyway.

I just hope Coach doesn't lose sight of those of us who foot the bill! Because if Legacy is all that there is from here on out, I aint setting foot into a FP store ever again. And that means DD sure isn't getting Coach purses anytime soon either! :cool:

So excited to see what will be available!
And I can't wait to see what other lines are available also. Even if something isn't a style I would personally buy, I still love looking at all the beautiful bags. It's a definite mood-lifter!

There is a mahogany but it's not available in Jax yet so not sure about preorder. SAs can see the color in the listing so may be able to order, but I think it was coming in sept or oct.

I agree with the some of the other comments about Legacy. It doesn't excite me either and I find because there is nothing that entices me about fall so far I frequent this forum far less than I used to. I check this thread once a week just to see if there are DD pics of anything else. I don't trash specific bags just simply say I don't care for the line in general. Additonally I would never go on anyone's personal reveal and say I did not like their bag Legacy or otherwise, I either won't comment or might say something positive such as I like the color. I see many people say they hate Madision and it in no way offends me. It would only offend me if someone went on my personal reveal and said my Sophia was ugly :smile1:

However I don't think the thread is meant to be strictly a Legacy thread as someone said it should encompass all of Fall 2012....the only reason it seems that way is that either:

1. Nothing but Legacy will be available for fall
2. There are other lines coming but no one has the 411 for these upcoming bags yet

If #2 I am sure the thread will be updated with these bags. My store Mgr says there is new Madison in October. If that is true I wish info would hurry up and be made available to I can finally exhale. As others have said we usually would have heard/seen something by now if other bags were coming. There was not even a Poppy Fall preview like in past years.

I have noticed other brands coming out with a similar Legacy look with the tassels etc so that must just be the trend for fall all around. Perhaps eventually one of these bags will appeal to me in the right color/style...a nice deep rose satchel with a tassel might tempt me.

As far as the younger set, I see my daughter and her friends carrying bags similar to Willis. They seem to like small cross body simple styles rather than ornate bags.

I agree with a lot of you, but I think that everyone needs to be careful about the opinions they throw out there, because it's so hard to interpret tone and intention online.

I understand that people who are excited for the other lines, such as Madison, can be frustrated when they continually come here and don't see anything. But there's a reason - there's no solid information yet! All we have is what's here. If Legacy ain't your thing, then this thread is probably not doing much for you right now. But don't sour things up for the people who are excited for this line, please. :)

Yes, Post Street! It's a fantastic store... because they are flagship, they get everything! I have 5 boutiques within reasonable distance - but go to this one as much as I can, because you can see most new products. They recently expanded with a walk-through to a men's section - and also have a bottom floor for shoes - and move certain groups downstairs as new ones come in. Not to mention all of the SA's are outstanding! They also have a fairly new manager - the past year or so. He's from NY Coach - infact, I think the Madison Ave store (maybe Bleecker St.... ).
