Well I ordered the black but the saga continues!

So my bag arrived today and I wasn’t home. My husband was but he did not accept the delivery. Why you ask? The box was totally open! I think they stole my bag and put another bag in the box! I’m glad he didn’t take it but I’m beginning to wonder if I am even supposed to have this bag. He sent my pictures and said I am not going to be responsible for your bag not being right. Then he said the box looked way too big for only one bag. I have trained him well but still have no empire 40:lol:😥

UPS TRIED TO GET ME…LOOK AT HOW IT ARRIVED!

That doesn’t even look like the size of an empire 40 and if he wasn’t outside the UPS guy would have left it at the door. They don’t even ring the doorbell anymore… the audacity!

@Nikki_6 - That is not okay! I am glad your husband was there to reject the delivery. I sure hope mine is not going to arrive in an open, overly large, beat up box without any protection around the handbag other than a white, fabric cover. Who knows what bag is inside? Perhaps Coach should just use the letter C on the outside of the packages they send so no one at UPS or elsewhere knows what company is sending the item. Sorry this happened to you.

I think the company shouldn’t even be listed on the package. Just the return address of the receiving center. They should also have tape that says this seal has been broken….

I’m pretty sure that was not an empire 40 the empire is wide and flat. Usually my bags from coach come with the dust bag inside and a plastic bag with foam trimmings around the bag. I called coach and they said that it’s now in the return process so I will have to buy the bag again but on the website they don’t give the option the send to the store. I’ll wait for my return to go through and then figure out if I am going to pursue this bag again.

I bought this made in USA strap from Amazon in 2016 for 39.95. It is no longer sold. A strap like this would easily cost over 100.00 today. Sad. This strap has made this bag very usable for me. I have been using the heck out of this bag; it is something about the bag that is special. The strap that comes with the bag is way too long for my 5'1 height. This company sells cute straps. I just recently had an issue with UPS where a small Coach package (2 charms) got stuck at a routing station. The UPS site stated the recipient's postal code cannot be determined. I contacted Coach and they were as bewildered as I was- I have ordered many items online to the same shipping address. I wonder whether there was tampering and/or the label got damaged. Coach ended up over-nighting a replacement with signature required. They messaged UPS to return the original package to the shipper.

I had luck with Coach CS in finally getting the package. I would suggest calling Coach- explain what happened- and ask them to overnight to you a new bag with signature required. Or, ask them if they would be willing to send the replacement to a UPS access point where you can inspect the package integrity before taking possession.

I only have low value items shipped to my home now unless there is a signature required. Otherwise, items are shipped to the store or a pick-up location. It is sad but too great a risk to have a package stolen or the contents swapped out.

@SandraElle @Purseloco - I have noticed this price gouging on Ebay as well. A chain (with tea roses, a C in the center, and two horse and carriage icons) I purchased to go with my Empire 40 came up for purchase first at the Coach website, so I ordered the chain first, and received it yesterday. I made sure to order it at Coach as soon as it came back in stock, as I saw the exact same chain for over double the price on Ebay. People are buying up many of these Empire bags and charm/chain items that go with the Empire bags, and they are really jacking up the prices on them. It is really something.

Is anyone suprised? the box was more than half open when I received it.... I am really hoping i don't have to fight with coach for my refund considering I didn't except the package.
