Coach Brooklyn Shoulder Bag

For those of you'll with the 39, can someone measure from the mouth (opening) of the bag to the base? I just realized that on Coach's website they measure the height including the handle, but most of the time the height measurement doesn't include the handle. I got my Brooklyn 28 today and I measured from the opening to the base, and it's actually 8.5" - 9", so far me it really is a 9"H x 11"W bag versus the 11" Hx 11"W bag they have listed on the website.

Edit: So I just went back and measured the 28 from the handle to base and that's 17". So now I'm wondering how tall the 39 really is.

I'm not home until tomorrow, hopefully someone else can help!

I have the Suede 39, from top of the opening at closure to the bottom of bag I got 12.5” and from top of handle to bottom of bag 23.5”

Thank you so much!!! I had a feeling the actual height had to be about a foot. Now I'm wondering where they got 17" from?

I’m guessing maybe the top of the bag in the sides above the dip but without the handle?

You know what you might be right, but I wish they would update this photo on the website because it's actually misleading.




And I just realized in my last post the bag was about a foot when it's actually closer to 2 feet.

It's 17" to this point. Right where that thread wraps, just before the handle proper starts.

I phoned the Coach customer service line, she doesn't see any other suede colours coming any time soon. Anyone else with other info?

All I know is what I've seen from Stuart Vevers tik tok. Haven't seen more suede.

Yes, it's amazing! It's big & surprisngly lightweight. I own it in multiple colors and hope to buy more. 😍

Does the bag have inside zippers? I’m paranoid because I had a bag like that once and someone was able to steal my wallet. How do you keep your valuables secure?

It does not have a zipper, inside or out. There is a single snap pocket inside along the back wall, and the bag itself closes via a pretty secure magnetic snap. Other than that, the only security is that the bag is deep, and carried over the shoulder/under the arm. I would suggest placing smaller items inside a zippered cosmetic pouch or pencil case inside the bag if you want to keep like items together.

I have not found a Coach bag in awhile that was instant love and a must have until I saw the Brooklyn 39 in Suede. This bag is amazing, so soft and that slouch is the best.

Yes, it's the only colour in suede. EDIT: Having said that, it looks a lot more neutral than the pic on the website. @iuvcoach what do you think, could you post a photo in neutral light?
