Hi,
I hope everyone is doing okay! I am thinking to buy Stella McCartney Falabella from the internet but I am not sure if it is authentic. So I would be really happy if someone can authenticate the bags! There are two bags I am interested in so I will be putting both of its pictures and links, one is cherry red one is gray. (ps. I can not fully trust the red one because the owner says it was a gift )

The grey is a mini and it looks fine from the pictures but to be sure have the seller provide the tags, a picture of the logo on the interior pocket and if they have the authenticity cards.

The red one looks like a fold over tote but have the seller hold it to verify the size. From the pictures it looks smaller than expected. Also the chains don't look like the right size but in order to be certain have the seller provide a picture holding it.

of course I will be asking for further photos for the gray one. The red one is a small size I asked the owner but I am still not sure. Is the red one authentic do you thinker fake?

Both the red and grey look fine from the photos given but to be absolutely certain additional photos are necessary for both.

For the red one, if it is a mini, you have to see the length of the chains to be certain (Look at photo no. 5 of the grey one you provided, the length of the chains are correct for a mini). You need a photo of her holding the red bag or a better display of the chains.

Note how an authentic mini looks and the length of the chains.

Hi! You’re in luck, both minis are authentic!! No need to worry about authenticity with either bag! Hope you bought one or both!! Enjoy !

Hi Jess! FYI-you can tell the maroon bag is a mini based on the fact the interior pocket doesn’t have a zipper. A foldover tote always has a zipped pocket inside. Both bags are minis and authentic. The cards can be faked so I never go by them except when the description doesn’t match the bag. You can also determine authenticity on the lining which is correct on both bags. I’ve been buying and selling Falabellas for a long time and authenticating them on here. I appreciate you helping ppl so I just wanted to give you a little advice. Thanks and be well!

Both bags are authentic. I’ve been authenticating for a long time.

I have been buying and selling Falabellas for ages too and have many. Thanks for your input too!

Yes, the cards can be faked - as we have seen with the recent grey mini but the tags can also confirm the bag if everything else matches. It does contain information about the color and style of bag.

Yes the foldover tote has a zipper and the mini doesn't but the proportion of the bag and the chains looked off and I stated that it looked like a foldover as a result. The seller needed to provide better photos that showed the proportions of the bag and the chain sizes better. It is always better to be very certain because you are providing assistance for other people. Even if the lining looks good, I like to see many points of confirmation because I am not buying for myself but giving advice to others.

That's my advice to you...better to be very sure and not risk people losing their money on a bad purchase.

Thanks Jess for your reply. I would never have someone buy a bag I wasn’t 100% certain was authentic. I’m seeing an increase in fake Falabellas on eBay and Poshmark and people are selling them for a lot. I cringe and hope the potential buyers will post here before purchasing. Have you noticed an increase too? The stitching for the chains is often like thick string as opposed to the faux leather used on authentic bags. Just another thing to look out for! It’s so infuriating to me. I’m just curious when you started authenticating on here? For the longest time I was the only one helping. It’s nice to see someone else as passionate about the brand and helping out there. My name is also Jessica btw. Nice to meet you!

I have been raving about the Falabella bags on this forum for years before you joined. There weren’t that many people interested and it didn’t and still doesn’t have its own subforum. As for this thread, I just naturally stumble into Falabella discussions.:amuse:

I noticed that you don’t post very frequently. I think that whoever is present to assist in an authentication helps out the posters - especially when the decision might have to be made quickly. It appears that you prefer to be the sole authenticator. I don't mind who helps the posters but I might have to chime in if you are not around.

I'd say that the vast majority of Stella fakes are obvious to anyone who has familiarity with the bags. It appears that most of the people purchasing have never handled one in person. I think this is what makes it easy to sell people fakes. Although, I have been surprised by the detail of some recent fakes.

It’s nice to meet another Falabella fanatic. I was smitten by this bag ever since it was released and I still add to my collection.

Hi, I bought this bag from Ebay. Do you think it is authentic? The buyer advised it had been bought from a Stella concession ...I assumed it was a old model because of the beige lining and it does smell a little musty but the hardware is very shiny. No signs of a YKK zip
