Hi! Unfortunately this Falabella isn’t authentic. There’s many things wrong with it such as the thick stitching, date code in wrong area and lining. I hope you can return it. I’m glad you got your answer. When I first started buying Falabellas I also used SM customer service to help assure me my bags were indeed authentic! I used to tell ppl to call them but was told they no longer authenticated bags. Very happy to hear they did for you! I love the gray Falabellas as well! Enjoy your new purchase!

Hi. I hope you can help me out in authenticating the black Falabella Foldover Tote I recently purchased second-hand from a private seller. This is my first Stella McCartney bag, means I am everything but an expert, just tried to Google my way through. 
It feels real to me, from the craftmanship, heaviness of the chain etc., but I am a bit unsure about the date code ... Please find some pictures attached, would love to hear your thoughts on it. Thanks a lot in advance!

Thank you very much, Jteach7! Very happy with my bag, the price was almost too good to be true and the seller claimed she had never used it! I was only unsure about the date code "SU16R", as I have never seen one before ending with a letter. Do you by any chance know what it means?

Now I’m just seeing your response! I have seen Falabellas with the letter after the date code, but actually I’m unsure of what it stands for. Falabellas are very addicting! I bought my first black foldover in 2018 and have bought and sold so many since then! I’m currently at 4. One small tote, 2 minis and a smaller flap bag for special occasions. They’re truly beautiful bags! That’s awesome you found this one basically new for a great price! If you need any help authenticating others, feel free to post them here and I’ll take a look. There def are fakes out there and it makes me crazy when I see them listed on different secondhand sites! So if I can help stop ppl from getting scammed it makes me feel good. I have never seen such a model (like a double flap), also a bit cautious as the seller writes "Falabella style" in the description. And the price obviously.

Hi! Yes, you are correct to be leery of this Falabella because it’s definitely a fake. It says it’s no longer for sale but hopefully it just ended. The only double flap Falabellas I know of are clutches. That style doesn’t exist. But there are plenty of authentic ones on eBay or Poshmark or other second hand sites that are authentic. Although I would like this style, what a pity it doesn't really exist! And I think my second Falabella (following the black one) should either be a light or a very bright colour. - Status
