Yes! This black with black chains foldover tote is authentic! I can tell from the lining, stitching and proportions of the chains. Also the date is correct for when this bag came out. I actually had this exact bag but ended up selling it and returning to silver chains. They just stand out more. But you have nothing to worry about regarding authenticity! I hope that helps!
Thank you so much! Fingers crossed I get it!
Hello,
Can you please help me authenticate this bag? I’m not sure about the serial numbers, haven’t seen them written in that way before. TIA.
Hello everyone!
I bought a falabella tote bag from a flee market, and i am wondering if it is authentic.
I must say it is very heavy, the material seems to be quality, but it does no have the tag in the little inner pocket
It weights 1.017kg
Here you are some photos![]()
Thank you all in advance and best wishes for the New Year!![]()
Hi there! I unfortunately don’t believe this bag is authentic. The white tag is the least of the issues as some bags don’t have them. The length of the chains is incorrect for a foldover tote. The material of the lining is also wrong. It should look more like a nylon material. The chains don’t look diamond cut like authentic bags. And I’ve never seen a foldover with an inner pouch pocket. Check the side of the inside zipper for YKK. I highly doubt you will find it. The stitching isn’t as tight as it should be either. I’m quite confident saying this bag is a fake. I hope you didn’t pay too much for it! Let me know if you have any other questions or find any other Falabellas you need authenticated. I’m not a professional but have owned many many Falabellas and currently have 5. I’ve learned an awful lot about them. The shape of the bag right from the beginning was suspicious. Hope this helps even though you were looking for a better answer. I’m sorry. ☹️
Thank you so much for your explanation, i paid 7€ for it, so its fine!
Where exactly should i look the stamp in the zipper?
I bought the bag thinking was original, since it is so heavy and it does look like quality, of course i am also an ignorant in this area...
Could you tell me the length of the chains if possible, or how much does the bag weight?
If that is no inconvenience for you.
Thank you again!
I’ll attach some pictures of my old foldover for comparison. I’m in the states so use lbs. A foldover is about 2 lbs. I’m not exactly sure the length of the chains but the two shorter ones should not be able to fit over your shoulder. The YKK is on the side of the zipper. See pics for comparison. Also the lining shouldn’t be cotton looking. When you fold the bag over that pouch pocket would make everything upside down. The large tote does have that but never a foldover. Here’s my foldover I no longer own. Don’t worry, when I bought my first Falabella I knew nothing about them either, so I taught myself a lot about them and at one point had 13 of them! I go overboard with everything I love!!View attachment 4628517View attachment 4628518View attachment 4628519View attachment 4628520View attachment 4628521
Thank you so much!
Yes, in facy ut has nothing to do with an original, plus i was looking at it in more detail, and i saw some other visible inoerfections haha
Never mind, was too good to be real
Thank you again for all your help!
Hi! This bag is definitely authentic. I’ve owned many Falabellas and some didn’t have all the serial numbers, that’s not a big deal. The lining is correct and YKK on the zipper is another thing fakes don’t use. The only thing is the chains are tarnishing a little bit. That happens over time from use. But other than that it looks pretty good. Def don’t worry about the white tag. Some older bags don’t have them at all. She started putting them in around 2012. It’s def not a fake so if the tarnishing chains don’t bother you, it’s a great bag! Good luck and feel free to ask any other questions!
