Hi there! I hope you haven’t paid for it yet because it’s definitely a fake. The chains are too long, overall shape of the bag is wrong and a foldover never comes with a change purse. If you received it ask for a refund! The lining is incorrect as well. I’ll attach a couple of my black foldover to show you the difference. I’m sorry I didn’t see this sooner. But counterfeit bags are illegal so you shouldn’t have any problem getting your money back.
I didn’t want to pay for it because someone confirms it’s genuine or a fake. And i was also browsing trough old posts on this thread and was kinda almost 100% it is a fake. Yours is a beauty I don’t have any yet but really want a Falabella ❤️

Hi! No, unfortunately neither of these are authentic. They’re both supposed to be a large tote, which is the only Falabella that does come with the change purse. However they have other issues. The chains are incorrect, lining and zippers aren’t marked YKK. What style Falabella do you want because the first one was the foldover and these two are the large tote.
There’s definitely lots of authentic Falabellas on eBay and I’ve bought the majority of mine there. I love these bags so much that I taught myself how to authenticate them. Usually the bags with a very low starting bid aren’t authentic. I avoided buying bags from Japan for a long time on eBay but was told by someone that they have strict laws about counterfeits. So don’t rule out buying one from Japan, they’re all usually authentic and I’ve seen some priced reasonably. I’ve bought several bags from there. Plus most have free shipping. I see you’re in the UK, do you have Poshmark there? If so every now and then you can find one for a deal. I just bought this beige foldover for US $200. It’s like new! I’ll attach pics. Don’t give up and I’m more than happy to authenticate as many bags as you like! We’ll find you a real one!
Wow can’t believe you got this one for 200 $ it looks like new! But i can see what you mean now about the lining, real Falabellas have that shiny nylon lining not cheap cotton one. I started to notice some things hopefully one day I’ll be able to authenticate one myself. I love buying stuff from Japan, i got two of my Balenciaga bags from there and two Balenciaga wallets both genuine and for a good price. I will have a look on eBay if some Japanese sellers sell any Falabella bags. I do have few more from UK on my list still maybe one of them could be genuine. I will have a look if there is Poshmark website here in UK definitely! I don’t mind if it’s a fold over medium or a large falabella to be honest.

Well done! All of those are authentic! One only had 3 pictures but given the unique style it’s most likely authentic. I just like being able to see the lining myself. You hit the nail on the head regarding the lining. It shouldn’t look like cheap cotton but more of a smooth nylon. These are all different styles. The large tote is about 17” by 16” and comes with the change purse. Then you have the small tote (one of my favorites) which is 14” by 14” and a shoulder bag. The foldover tote is the same size as a small tote but has the third chain so it can be folded in half and worn over the shoulder. I tend to carry mine just with the two shorter chains over my forearm. Then there’s the mini that’s 10” by 10” and can be carried crossbody or handheld. They also make a tiny, which is smaller than a mini. There’s other crossbody styles and clutches too. Depending on how much you carry, you should try to narrow your search to best fit your needs. The large tote is pretty big in my opinion. The foldover is nice but can be heavy after awhile. I’ve pretty much owned every style at some point except the large and tiny ones. However I also just bought a small crossbody for $250 on Poshmark. It’s small so not an everyday bag for me, but perfect for nights out or running errands.
It’s funny you mentioned getting 2 Balenciaga bags from Japan because I recently just bought my first one and it was from Japan! In excellent condition for $400. I’ve never owned a Balenciaga bag before so this is a first! It’s the town bag, smaller than the city but the perfect size. I’ve also bought 3 Valentino rockstud trapeze bags from Japan all on eBay. And the condition was perfect on all of them. They tend to rate the bags worse than they are. I love hardware on a bag so that’s what drew me to those brands.
I learned a lot about authenticating Falabellas from watching YouTube videos, reading this forum and having conversations with reps from Stella McCartney. The most important thing to me is seeing them in person. You already picked up on the difference in the lining. You’ll start to notice the shape of the bag, stitching, chains and labels are usually off on the fakes. The zipper will always say YKK. I have a makeup bag from SM and the zipper has the YKK. Fakes don’t use those zippers cause they cost more. The date code in the pocket is usually something I don’t worry about. Fakes have them, but sometimes they put them in the wrong place.
Last thing to consider, lighter colors are prone to color transfer from jeans and dark inked clothing. So you’re probably better off getting a darker bag. The beige one I bought is a material called chamois not shaggy deer and is less prone to color transfer. But it’s mostly the crossbody bags you have to worry about that with.

At this point I guess i just want a medium fold over or a large one. I love large bags because I just throw everything inside. When i get my first Stella McCartney then I might not be in such a rush and I will look at the smaller ones like a crossbody ones. I got a balenciaga city bag and a motorcycle one from Japan. In my opinion they were amazing for a vintage bags. But they really did describe them as in much worse condition than they really were in. I would love to get a vintage Chanel bag from japan as well
I agree totally that the bags from Japan are in much better condition than they say. I was torn between the city and town Balenciaga bags. I was lucky to find the one I did for about $400 and in excellent condition. The handles aren’t even frayed like so many of them. It’s a great bag. My Valentino bags were also in amazing condition. I think ppl avoid the bags from Japan cause they make them sound so bad and buyers are afraid to buy internationally because if they need to return it the cost of shipping is high. But I haven’t been disappointed yet. They have a lot of Falabellas at great prices. The foldovers and large totes are usually less expensive than the smaller crossbody bags too. I’ve only searched a few times for Chanel bags. Probably cause they’re out of my price range! I love the boy bag. Well I could write about bags all day and have quite a large collection already! I hope you find a nice foldover or large tote! Definitely post it for me to see. I’ll just show you the smaller Falabella I bought recently that isn’t an everyday bag cause I tend to carry a lot too, but it’s great for evenings out or running errands. Yeah, I’m not super familiar with that style either but I’ve seen Star bags before but none like this. However the inside is what makes me believe it’s not authentic. It should have a YKK on the side of the zipper regardless of what style it is. Plus I’ve never seen the SM label inside look like that. I’m going to agree it’s a fake. I’ve seen some box bags before but the inside didn’t look like that. I’d tell her to steer clear. Feel free to post any others you might be unsure of. Hope this helps!

Hi! You have nothing to worry about. This Falabella is definitely authentic! I see you took pics of the zipper which was great! The lining is correct and stitching is tight. I have no doubt it’s authentic. The gray is such a beautiful color! Enjoy this gorgeous bag!!
