Hi everyone. I would really appreciate if someone could please help me authenticate this bag? I bought this bag from a girl and it was only $250 cash so I picked it up without asking any questions really. The main reason why I'm questioning the authenticity is because the zippers do not have YKK on them. It also has a detachable pouch included which I've seen very few of but maybe it's an older style?. Other than that it looks okay to me... The embossing for the logo is even dotted on the inside pocket and material looks and feels nice. Is this a super fake? Even funnier - the card it comes with has typos. Any chance the bag itself is authentic?
I'm just adding two more pictures, thanks in advance!!!!
Oh dear!! ♀️You need to unfriend this girl!! [emoji23] There’s absolutely no way this bag is authentic. I’m sorry and hope you get your money back. The only thing is is kinda correct is the bag shape. The YKK missing is a huge red flag. I can tell you with certainty that a foldover tote has NEVER come with a change purse. Only the large tote does, and I have verified that with SM reps. I still have the email where I asked them when I was learning about authenticating Falabellas. In no way am I a professional authenticator, but I’ve learned a whole lot about how to tell the difference via forums like this, YouTube and many conversations with reps at SM. Ok, so the change purse is wrong. The lining is incorrect. It should look more nylon and not like cheap cotton. You already nailed the lack of YKK on zippers. The material doesn’t even look like shaggy deer and I love how you pointed out the typo! Someone in China must have been exhausted making that batch! [emoji23] Seriously, people don’t realize the negative impact fakes have. It’s not just the designers they hurt. But proceeds fund illegal activity such as terrorism, child labor and drugs. For under or around $400 you could easily get yourself an authentic bag and I’d be more than happy to help you look as I’m stalking Falabellas on many sites constantly as I’m a bit addicted. I was up to 11 Falabellas and just sold 2 and am hoping to get down to 7. I hope this information is helpful and more importantly you can get a refund from your great friend! J/K I’m not knocking her because many people don’t realize they bought a fake until they go to resell or see an authentic one in a department store.
That said there are many scammers out there! On eBay I have seen the same woman list the same exact black foldover like this one every few weeks. She lures buyers by starting a bid super low and always writes “new and authentic!” which pisses me off to no end. I have witnessed countless times these horrible fakes go for over $400! My heart breaks for these buyers who just threw away that much on a maybe $45 fake. Check out ioffer.com and search Falabellas and you’ll see one source of these fakes. It disgusts me because it shows feedback where ppl bought hundreds of them!! Obviously for resale as “new and authentic” ! People from all over the world do this and many from the US. The shady lady on eBay has even had someone leave positive feedback regarding her fake bag! Poor thing.. I wish I could contact them all! I have brought it to eBays attention in an unrelated call. I was calling about a purchase of mine and remembered at the end to find out their policy on fakes. Sadly, I was thanked and then BSed into a long winded response stating there’s nothing they’ll do about it. In addition, a seller can create a new account every month! So she pops up with her same damn pictures under a different username after she sells 2 or 3 because it looks suspicious or someone found out and probably left negative feedback. Be very wary of those too good to be true “new and authentic” fakes!
It’s more than possible to get a great authentic one for a great price around $400. Many people buy them then decide they don’t like the weight of the chains or prefer a more structured bag. That’s where I have gotten great deals. I did buy a new one with tags from a wholesaler who buys overstock, returns, floor models and slightly defective items from department stores, private sellers don’t have that privilege. I bought a gorgeous shimmery blue small tote for $550 new and of course authentic!! I also bought a store display which was new for $360. I also bought a bunch on Farfetch. They’re typically on the expensive side but in the fall they had an awesome sale with Falabellas marked down by about 30% plus an additional 20% off sale price. I went overboard as usual and ended selling all the 4 I purchased for less than I paid. Falabellas don’t hold their value like an LV or Goyard. Just an FYI.
I’m going to post pictures of my black foldover which was my first ever Falabella just a year ago!! I sold it to fashionphile which is a great place to look, real real is pretty good, eBay is great if you know how to identify fakes. All of my current ones I purchased there. Many new.
Sorry I tend to ramble on and on and can talk Falabellas all day! [emoji23]J/K Here’s my authentic foldover for comparison. Again, good luck and hope you get your money back to put towards a REAL authentic Falabella!!

Aside from the typos, they do abbreviate on the real ones too but it’s not that. Our of curiosity since you posted the pic of the date code I matched the numbers on the “authenticity” card with the one in the bag and not only can they not spell they have dyslexia as well! [emoji23] The numbers are mixed up! So that’s my first ever Falabella that’s long gone. I personally prefer small totes to foldovers because I like a shoulder bag and their a little lighter. The foldovers I’ve owned never seemed to fall right when folded over. Plus I carry a lot of crap like 15 lip glosses just in case..[emoji849]I just forget to take em out. So the foldover gives me less room and feels awkward on one chain carrying it, but I think the majority prefer the foldover bags. They’re super gorgeous and look great on other ppl but not me. I think I have one picture with me holding that bag and will post if I can find it.
Oh my, it's crazy how far these fakes are going!!! That's so funny with their fake barcode not even matching up to their fake date code Thanks so much for taking the time! I know tons of people resell their falabellas so I couldn't quite justify buying it new, but now I'm so scared to buy another pre-owned!
I'm going to bug you again - the real real is having a discount for additional 20% off. Would I be paying an okay price for this bag?
