unfortunately, despite all the pics they have, we need detail pictures,,,,the 'made in XXX 'tag inside, the YKK imprint and all areas of hardware marked MARC BY MARC JACOBS, etc...

Please help put my mind at ease - I bought this from a reputable seller so I'm hoping I have nothing to worry about and I'm just being paranoid, but I don't want to get stuck with a fake!

all the details in the pics look correct. do the snake straps look stitched where they attach to the bag? she must have had a cobbler sew them on. i think because she did that and carried it that way, it put massive stress on the snake-skin part and that's most likely why it's coming apart. snake is very thin and not meant to support weight. it''s why it's generally used as a trim or decoratively...the way the straps attach is the lil bar part goes through the hole and sorta just locks in place. the snake was then woven through the chain but folded over the chain near each end and tacked over in place. i dont think the chain ever was meant to go through the holes in the frame near the top.

i think it's repairable to it's original state, but it's gonna take some work

Thanks so much. If the bar doesn't fit through the hole at all (it's much too wide) does that make you suspicious? I really can't see how the chain could have ever been attached.
