It arrived the other day and it feels completely off. I knew it was going to be well-used, and that she had had the silver handles removed as they were "too heavy". But it doesn't feel like leather (more like a spongy foam with a PVC cracked glaze), the seam of the snakeskin handle is coming apart (although that could be just from age) and the edges of the brown "leather" strap and cream "leather" body are bonded in that plastic which (in my opinion) is usually used to hide the raw edges of fake leather. Also the links in the silver chain are not properly "closed", if that makes sense. There are gaps in the links.
Finally, I the ends of the silver chains cannot fit through the holes in the brass hardware. Although the seller said that she had the chains removed, I don't see how they could have ever been attached in the correct way.
It has a Lampo zipper and it appears to be a "real" Lampo zipper. The only tag it has is the season tag.
