Please help me authenticate this Marc Jacobs The Editor Handbag. It has a YKK zipper, Marc Jacobs New York plate and a made in Vietnam tag.

The authenticator has not been around here much. It might come down to deciding how reliable is the person you bought it from.

The person told me the bag is 2009 and is authentic. So dunno can be trusted or not.

My point was, how reliable are they as a person? Are they to be trusted in other things? Then maybe you can trust them about the bag.

This bag does not look 10 years old.

Hello,
I was interested in Mj snapshot DTm white color and i was asking someone who bought it for me.
However, after receiving the bag, i found the color is quite different from the website. So i appreciate if you guys who has this bag and check whether it is fake or not. According to the website, the color is moon white but i found the color of the belt...is quite strange..

Even i emailed to Marcjacobs customer service for checking, they didnt really give me the correct answer so im very confused.

The authenticator has not been here lately. I do recall her saying that these bags are often faked. My best advice to you would be to look carefully at the source or person you bought this from. Do you trust them?

Yes..i know this bag is often faked. I do buy them 3-4 pcs. However, im very confused about the color of this bag because jt is not same or similar to the website one.

Comments: Got this MBMJ bag from an op shop. I have googled quite a bit and could not find a bag that is of the same style. The engraving on the front isn't very crisp/clear in comparison to the one on the side. The handle of the bag is brown and not black like the body of the bag. It does, however, seem to be made of a soft leather and the hardware are pretty heavy.
Will appreciate any help i can get because if it's a fake, i can still bring it back for an exchange within a week.

I have a hunch this MJ Ursula Elise quilted patent bag is not authentic (probably the best fake of this style I've seen, sans the quilted bottom) but want to get some expert opinions here. I had owned this bag years ago when it was first released and somehow recall that the bottom was not supposed to be all quilted. Double-checked some online photos of authentic MJ Ursula Elise and none of them show an all-quilted bottom. Would greatly appreciate some expert input on this.

Just bought this bag. My gut says it’s authentic, because the quality of the bag and the leather is very good. The leather is so soft. But just want to be sure, because it dosent say anything on the backside of the zipper. I’ve uploaded some photos.

@blablacricket Some brands do not allow their SAs to authenticate their products but on the email you received from them, the rep made mention that moon white is all white (while yours is not as it has off white or cream straps) so for me, I’d take that as a warning and will pass on this bag.But that’s my opinion and I’m no mJ expert. I do own MJ bags but not this one.

As ruemonge mentioned, the authenticators are not active here so we have to go with our gut feel, compare details with the other authentic mjs that we own and ultimately, just buy from sellers we trust or directly from the brand.
