Hi there, I am hoping I am replying back into this thread in the proper way. My wife has been given the opportunity to buy a black Chanel Caviar medium double flap bag from a friend who is moving back to Asia. I have followed the instructions and taken pictures as advised which are attached. Details are:
1. Chanel caviar medium double flap bag - black inside, black outside
2. Serial: 14227234
3. Link: n/a
4. Seller: Her friend (see above)
5. I took the pictures on my iPhone
6. Not sure exactly when bought - no bag or tag... thinks it is 2012-2014?

I'd really appreciate any advice on the authenticity of the bag - my email is: '[email protected]'.

Many thanks!

Hello.. I asked and this is what I got....
as another note: I offered $800, then the seller said it cost them $1350 when the receipt clearly says $900. I got a little suspicious.
Thank you for the assistance and advice. Best wishes.. DG007

Please request a clear, non-flash close-up shot of the full serial nr. and post back quoting your initial request

I respectfully disagree with Lollipuff jumping the gun on this boy's authenticity. Have they seen this 15C braided boy in person, or do they base the true color of the hardware on that one picture in their blog only? Furthermore, silver hardware (with whatever undertone) can be very hard to photograph due to it being highly reflective. Photographers who don't know how to control and shape light therefore can fail to capture the true color of the metal.
And maybe it's my aging eyes, but depending on the picture and lighting, I do very much see gray/gunmetal undertones in the hardware of this boy on Tradesy.
I stand by my initial observation that I see no cause for concern so far, pending the pictures I requested above.

+1
don't see any red flags either

Thanks for your help so far everyone. Immensely grateful!

My first post here! I bought a pre-owned Chanel wallet from an auction site today.

Unfortunately that's still a very bad picture of the serial nr. It needs to be a crisp and clear macro shot.
